  • Patent number: 5664965
Abstract: Disclosed is an assembly which comprises a printed circuit board on which there is mounted a component of an electrical connector. The printed circuit board and the electrical connector component have aligned mounting apertures. A boardlock member extends axially through these apertures and has a mounting foot engagement structure from which two resilient spaced legs depend. These spaced legs each have projections which are axially spaced from one another so that the connector member may engage a circuit board of one thickness on the projection of one leg and also engage a circuit board of another thickness by the projection on the other leg.

  • Patent number: 5660557
Abstract: A removable shroud latch for securing a printed circuit board (PCB) or second connector (device) to a first connector has a rectangular base which surrounds the first connector. The shroud latch engages the device by means of two pairs of inwardly biased arms that extend from the top of the elongated sides to engage opposite sides of either a hole in the PCB by means of knobs centered on the inward side of outwardly flared flanges at the upper ends of the arms or to an edge of the second connector. A plurality of inwardly extending shoulders on the bottom of the elongated sides engage the bottom edge of the first connector to prevent upward vertical movement of the shroud latch.

  • Patent number: 5649831
Abstract: Disclosed is an insertion and ejection printed circuit board edge connector assembly. A circuit board fits into a slot in an elongated housing, and at each end of the housing there is an ejectment mechanism having an upper engagement arm and a lateral engagement arm which is pivotally connected to the housing at a point between the engagement and ejectment arm. The engagement arm is fixed to one end of the circuit board by a flexible latch which may be disengaged to allow the ejectment arm to pivot upwardly to eject the circuit board.
