  • Patent number: 4044669
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for releasably mounting thin walled cylindrical members in a machine involving rotary working operations, such as rotary screens used in rotary printing presses. The device comprises cylindrical end members adapted to be mounted on the rotary machine and adapted to fit within and engage inner peripheral flanges at the ends of the cylinder. The end members comprise an annular slot which contains a ring member expandible by suitable pressure means. Each ring member contains an outer annular groove adapted to engage the inner flange at each end of the cylinder upon expansion of the ring member thereby securing the ends of the cylinder on each end member. The ring member can be a steel band expandable by the action of a pressurized air tube mounted in the annular slot, or alternatively, the ring member can be an outer wedge ring disposed in the annular slot with an inner wedge ring in the slot which can be axially moved and thus radially moving the outer wedge ring.

  • Patent number: 4043587
Abstract: The invention relates to devices removably mountable by magnetic means on a metallic hood of motor vehicle for deflecting air currents containing bugs, road grime, etc., to prevent contact thereof with the windshield of the vehicle. The deflecting devices generally comprise a horizontal base member containing semi-rigid, flexible, strip, permanent magnet members, and a transparent shield canted backwardly and connected to the base. The device is molded of a semi-rigid, flexible plastic material which permits the shield and base to flex with the air currents produced when the vehicle is in motion.

  • Patent number: 4021960
Abstract: The invention relates to a doll house having an A-frame design, e.g., a doll house typifying a hunting or mountain lodge. The doll house is of the collapsible type having a novel design in its construction. It is constructed of a small number of individual panels which comprise the walls, floors, roof, etc. The panels are provided with grooves and slots so that all the panels slide together easily and support one another. No tools or screws are required for construction and the parts are locked tightly together in a rigid structure by the simple insertion of several small pegs in matching holes provided in the various panels. The doll house has a unique roof assembly comprising two panels, which can easily be removed to expose the interior rooms.
