Abstract: An illuminated jewelry article having a conductor loop, a magnetically connectable clasp housing a removable battery, and a medallion having internal light emitting diode (“LED”). The clasp consists of two magnetically connectable clasp components, at least one of which is adapted with an interior chamber for containing a battery power source. Each clasp component includes a vertex end connected to an electrical conductor, and a magnetically attractable base. At least one of the clasp components contains a magnet thereby allowing the clasp components to be magnetically connectable in base-to-base relation without requiring precise manual alignment. No further mechanical connection is required. Once connected the clasp completes an electrical circuit resulting in the illumination of an LED electrically connected to the necklace opposite the clasp portion. The LED is preferably connected to or embedded within a crystal to enhance the illumination effect.

Abstract: A storm shutter stud fastening mechanism that includes a quick release for fast and easy removal of conventional storm shutters from a window or door from the inside of a structure in the event of an emergency by allowing occupants of the building to manually disengage a fastening stud from an anchor. The stud mechanism includes an anchor body that receives an actuating arm having prongs at one end that engage and fasten the stud to the anchor body. However, when the arm is when rotated or pivoted from one side to the other, the engaging prongs are spread by stops inside the anchor body, thereby expanding the prong distance, releasing a stud secured between them.

Abstract: A hydrostatic release for securing an emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB) to a shipboard surface to withstand high G-forces while having a release mechanism that if the ship were to sink will release the EPIRB at a pre-determined water pressure which is equivalent to depth of water. The hydrostatic release includes two shafts mounted end to end and clamped together under spring pressure by a slide that can be moved by a water pressure sensitive diaphragm when the hydrostatic device is underwater and experiences a pre-determined water pressure. The elongated shaft is connected at one end to an EPIRB housing and at the other end to the EPIRB housing cover. Once the cover is released by the water pressure, the EPIRB will float to the ocean surface.

Abstract: A cable organizing and bundling sleeve and sleeve dispensing tool for use in installing the sleeve around a plurality of cables provides a system for combining, protecting, and organizing multiple cables and hoses into one compact bundle. An elongate, radially elastic tubular sleeve of suitable size is provided for bundling a plurality of cables, and sleeve-dispensing tool is provided for dispensing the sleeve into surrounding relation with the cables. The dispensing tool preferably comprises a generally rigid tubular dispenser having one radially outwardly flared end and a slot that runs along the entire length thereof. The dispenser functions to receive a sleeve thereon in a longitudinally compact, radially stretched-open configuration such that a plurality of cables may be inserted therethrough.

Abstract: A portable dispensing system comprising a vending machine including an upper snack-holding portion, an intermediate beverage-holding portion, a lower refrigeration portion, contained within a housing that fits within the basket of a golf cart. The snack-holding portion and the beverage-holding portion occupy a common cabinet being separated by an insulating wall, allowing a refrigeration mechanism within the refrigeration portion to refrigerate the beverage-holding portion without refrigerating the snack-holding portion. The cabinet is disposed above the basket within the golf cart, and may be provided with a pair of belts for fastening the dispensing system to the golf cart. Within the snack-holding portion, snacks are held in a plurality of snack-holding bins, with similar snacks being stored in a single bin, separated from one another by sliding platforms.

Abstract: A compact dehydration engine and method for treating human waste and gray water residual electro-coagulants that includes a heated waste dehydration chamber that has low energy consumption and low water consumption in use. The system can be employed in stationary or mobile platforms that include multiple toilets and gray water sources for reclamation.

Abstract: This invention forms a loose fill packing material comprising clean, elongated strips of paper formed from corrugated cardboard having internal fluting formatted to expand in height, improving the ability of the strips to lattice. A vertical slitter divides cardboard into blanks of a predetermined width generally with the grain of corrugation. The blanks are fed into a shredding device that cuts the blanks with a scissor motion across the width of the blank. The strips pass onto a cleated perforated conveyor and into an enclosed suction housing. Inside the suction housing is a vortex box enhancing air flow for cleaning the strips. Strips are centered on the conveyor. The strips move from the conveyor to an angled, vibrating sifter plate into a collector. Strips are sprayed with a liquid material having microbicidal, sanitizing, insect repellant, disinfectant and/or deodorizing properties.

Abstract: A multi-purpose boat tower comprising a unitary device with discrete and integral components including a rigid frame cage mounted to a portion of the deck and transom of a boat, a horizontal platform removably mounted to the top of the rigid frame, a plurality of foldable rack structures mounted to the rigid frame, a plurality of fishing rod holders mounted to the rigid frame and a rigid pylon structure mounted to the top of the rigid frame.

Abstract: A method and system to provide visualization of high resolution terrain for use in real-time simulation for digital image displays that is derived directly from source data including imagery, classification, elevation and vector data at run-time with little or no off-line manipulation of the source data. The fidelity of the visualization is scalable based on the graphic system's capability. Readily available worldwide data exists for imagery, classification, elevation, vector and airport runway data.

Abstract: An insect repellent composition that includes a blend of either all natural oils or synthetic ingredients, a sunscreen vitamin F, volatile silicones to extend the effective repellent life of the spray and a film forming polymer to resist water wash off. The natural oils and extracts can include citronella and orange and the synthetics can include D-limonene and phtalic acid.

Abstract: A method for increasing the firmness of a pillowtop or any other soft mattress. The method includes providing a rectangular sheet of cotton fabric material having hook fasteners on one end and loop fasteners on an opposite end to attach the sheet of material around the mattress. The firmness of the mattress is increased by tightly wrapping the sheet of material around the mattress using the fasteners. The sheet of material is sized appropriately to fit entirely around the mattress with overlap. Preferably, the sheet of material is sized and manufactured for wrapping longitudinally around the mattress.

Abstract: An improved hoop assembly that may be alternately formed from a plurality of variously sized and shaped connectable components that are selectively interconnected by the user to form a simple or complex hoop configuration of a particular desired size and shape is disclosed. A plurality of hoop components may have opposing ends that are adapted for mating engagement with other components to form a hoop of a particular size and shape. In addition, the hoop components include connector components that enable hoop components to be connected in concentric configurations. The various components thus may be assembled into a wide variety of hoop configurations, whether annular or otherwise, thereby enhancing fun and enjoyment.
