  • Patent number: 8348146
Abstract: The system and method for determining product authenticity including a code assembly having a plurality of preferably three displayed companion codes visually observable on the product and purportedly associated therewith. A communication device is structured to input at least one of the displayed companion codes and transmitted to a remote processor facility. A database accessible by the processor facility includes a plurality of preferably three correct companion codes correctly associated with the product wherein receipt of the displayed companion codes from the communication device will facilitate access by the processor facility of the database and the plurality of correct companion codes associated with the product, wherein product authenticity is determined by a transmission of a predetermined one of the displayed companion codes back to the communication device for comparison with the one other of the displayed companion codes not transmitted to the processor facility.

  • Patent number: 8348895
Abstract: The tamper evident cap assembly is structured for protective connection to a syringe of the type having a nozzle and a discharge port, wherein the cap assembly includes a body configured to receive and access to the nozzle. A flow restricting member is connected to the body to at least initially define a one piece construction. The flow restricting member is disposed in flow restricting relation to the discharge port of the nozzle. An attachment assembly interconnects the body and the flow restricting member and is structured, such as by being frangible to facilitate detachment of the body from the flow restricting member upon the body being removed from the syringe. A connecting assembly is structured for a snap-fit connection to the nozzle and retains the flow restricting member thereon upon removal of the body from the syringe.

  • Patent number: 8341781
Abstract: An inflatable child containment assembly generally in the form of a play pen type structure capable of multiple uses including a contained play area, a resting or sleeping space, a splash pool, a wash basin, and a support platform for changing a child. A wall assembly has sufficient structural integrity when inflated to assume either a first operative or upright position or a second operative, inverted position, depending on the intended use. A plurality of interconnected wall sections define the wall assembly and are collectively disposed in a closed, continuous configuration to form an interior child containment area having a closure assembly covering one end thereof. An inflatable base may serve as a cushion when removably disposed within the containment area. When in the deflated and collapsed orientation, the containment assembly may be easily carried by an individual utilizing an appropriate pouch or bag.

  • Patent number: 8307762
Abstract: A cutting assembly for cutting a meat or food product passing along a path of travel and comprising a blade assembly including a cutting roller having a plurality of cutting blades radially mounted thereon and movable relative to the path of travel. A mating assembly interacts with the plurality of cutting blades to accomplish a multipoint cutting procedure which is facilitated by the concurrent rotation of the cutting roller and cutting blades as well as a linear reciprocal travel thereof transverse to the path of travel. A stabilizing assembly is provided to restrict the dimensional variance of the spacing between the cutting roller and mate roller through which the meat product travels and an ejecting assembly to remove cut portions from between the cutting blades and back onto the path of travel. The cutting assembly preferably includes a modular construction disposal within and removal from an operative position along a processing line associated with the path of travel.

  • Patent number: 8284955
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for digitally processing audio signals. Some embodiments receive an audio signal and converting it to a digital signal. The gain of the digital signal may be adjusted a first time, using a digital processing device located between a receiver and a driver circuit. The adjusted signal can be filtered with a first low shelf filter. The systems and methods may compress the filtered signal with a first compressor, process the signal with a graphic equalizer, and compress the processed signal with a second compressor. The gain of the compressed signal can be adjusted a second time. These may be done using the digital processing device. The signal may then be output through an amplifier and driver circuit to drive a personal audio listening device. In some embodiments, the systems and methods described herein may be part of the personal audio listening device.
