  • Patent number: 5744249
Abstract: Described is a weather-resistant, plasticizer-free, deep-drawable film based on a semicrystalline ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer and a homo- and/or copolymer of an alkene plus stabilizers and optional fillers, lubricants, pigments, and other ordinary additives. This film is characterized by the fact that the mixture of the semicrystalline ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer and the homo- and/or copolymer of the alkene contains:70-30 wt % semicrystalline ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer (A) with approximately 56-76 wt % ethylene, approximately 15-30 wt % propylene, and approximately 9-14 wt % third component, while the terpolymer (A) has a melt-flow index MFI (230/2, 16) of approximately 5-15.0 g/10 min,and 70-30 wt % homo- and/or copolymer (B) of ethylene and/or propylene, while the homo- and/or copolymer has a melt-flow index MFI (230/2, 16) greater than 2.5 g/10 min. This film is especially suited for the interior covering and fittings of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 5653074
Abstract: The present invention relates to a door frame made of wood. The door frame comprises a pair of rails, a pair of stiles and connectors. At each of the connecting ends of the rails and stiles, hollows and holes are formed, into which a connector capable of disassembly is inserted and fixed, thereby joining and tightening the rails and stiles. The door frame can maintain its integrity and still provide for convenient repair and replacement of damaged portions by disassembly of the connector.

  • Patent number: 5538740
Abstract: An active ingredient for a therapeutic or cosmetic composition is obtained from live gastropoda (e.g., snails) which are physically stimulated (e.g., by centrifuging) to cause secretion of a fluid which is then centrifuged and filtered. Preferably the gastropoda are fasted prior to the physical stimulation. The therapeutic or cosmetic compositions contain about 0.1-30% of the active ingredient which is a mixture of amino acids and atoxic substances, an effective amount of an excipient preferred for use with biologically active ingredients, and other conventional ingredients provided they do not affect the stability and/or the activity. The therapeutic composition, in the form of a topical cream, can be used to treat various types of burns, dermatitis, eczema, diaper rash, and difficult to heal wounds. It can also be used to prevent skin cancer and radiodermatitis. The cosmetic composition can be used as hand and face creams, an anti-wrinkle cream, a sunscreen cream, a moisturizing lotion, and a deodorant.
