Abstract: A solar powered light device having a shade having an upper edge, an interior area, and an outside bottom surface having a solar panel set thereinto which is electrically connected to a light bulb and a battery located within the interior area of the shade; a switch operatively connected to the light bulb which can be closed when the device is made to rest on the bottom surface; wherein the solar panel charges the battery when the device is resting on the upper edge and wherein the battery powers the light bulb when the device is resting on the bottom surface and the switch is closed.
Abstract: The invention concerns a child's clock indicator (1) comprising a housing (6) and a dial (7). Time-switch or timepiece elements are mounted in the housing (6) and are connected to a time adjusting indicator (4) which is adjustable with adjusting knobs (5, 8). Waking (2) or sleep (3) designs are activated in waking position or sleep position by the time-switch or timepiece elements and based on the adjustment of the time adjusting indicator.
Abstract: A drywall panel lifter having two stanchions into which jacks are vertically set, wherein each jack has an extending portion capable of rising past the tops of the first and second stanchion respectively; a set of bars hinged to the jacks; a cross-piece assembly connecting the bars, having a crank is operatively connected to the screw gear that operates the jacks; and panel holding grippers mounted on the extending portion of the jacks.
Abstract: An improved in-ground pest deterrent composed of a hollow plastic spike which houses a sonic pulse producer and is battery powered in which the sonic pulse producing circuitry is fixed and shielded within the housing such that when a removable battery sleeve is removed, the sonic pulse producing circuitry remains within the housing.
Abstract: An educational board game that may be played in several ways by either a single player or two or more players in competition with each other is disclosed. Each player plays the game with a game board in conjunction with one or more sets of game cards. The game boards have on one or both surfaces vocabulary elements that may be one or more words or phrases in a first language or that may be an image representing one or more words or phrases. The game boards also may have on one of its surfaces a reference number. A set of game cards may be one-sided, in which case each card may have on a surface one or more words or phrases in a first language. A set of game cards also may be double-sided, in which case the cards may have on a first surface one or more words or phrases in a first language and on a second surface a translation of the words or phrases on the first surface. The double-sided game card also may have on a surface a pronunciation key, a reference number, or both.
Abstract: A lotion applicator which provides total, even coverage of the back of the user and does not require manual dexterity or stretching, consisting of a door mount, rotor, rotor guide, and one or more pads. The door mount is attached to a vertical surface, preferably a door, but the device can also be mounted to a wall. The user stands with her back against the device and, raising her arms to about shoulder level, grabs a handle attached to the rotor guide and pushes up, thus lifting the rotor guide. The rotor travels with the guide, whereupon one or more pads, which are impregnated with lotion and attached to the rotor in an off-center position, spin along the back of the user, spreading lotion.
Abstract: A machine for on-site folding and securing a tape to an unfinished edge of a carpet. A housing rolls under the carpet. A heating unit is contained in the housing and heats the tape to melt an adhesive thereon. A die is interchangeably mounted to the housing and has the tape feed therethrough to be folded and attached to the carpet by way of the melted adhesive thereon. A first embodiment of the die has spaced-apart bottom and a top walls to receive the tape therebetween. A second embodiment of the die further has a pair of flanges extending outwardly from free edges of the bottom and top walls, respectively. The pair of flanges fold inwardly onto the bottom and top walls, respectively, and are spaced a slight distance from the bottom and top walls, respectively, so as to form a pair of guides that receive the tape.
Abstract: A device for securing an object to the end of a hollow post or pipe, such as a parking meter head, comprising a bar capable of being transversely disposed within the hollow post or pipe by passing substantially the entire length of the bar through an opening in the side of the hollow post or pipe, the end of the bar first passed through the opening being configured to be received by an alteration in the inside surface of the hollow post or pipe located opposite the opening, the bar being further configured so as to substantially impede its rotation when disposed in the hollow post or pipe and to accept a fastener inserted through the end of the hollow post or pipe for securing the object to the bar.
