  • Patent number: 8291763
Abstract: A gauge mounting assembly for mounting a gauge to an instrument panel of a vehicle such as an automobile, boat, airplane or any other device utilizing said gauge and instrument panel. The gauge mounting assembly comprises: a gauge disposed within a gauge housing abutting a gauge housing flange; a gauge mounting bracket integrally attached to the gauge housing; said gauge mounting bracket comprising a circular base with a series of flexible fingers extending axially from said base; and, said fingers consisting of a ratcheting tip. When said gauge mounting assembly is positioned within a hole in said instrument panel the flexible fingers consist of an elastic dual-action cantilevered spring members. First, said fingers flex inwardly towards the axial surface of the gauge housing to permit passage through said hole. Second, said spring members bow outwardly from their original position exerting an outward force against said hole maintaining retention and alignment of the gauge housing.

  • Patent number: 7381166
Abstract: A weighted skipping exercise device for cardio-aerobic exercise. A leg ring is attached to a cone element containing adjustable weights by an elongated cord. The elongated cord having a first loop end positioned within a channel around a the outer circumference of the leg ring. A second cord end connected to the cone element by an attaching means permitting free rotation of the cone element. The cone element comprising a top cone attached to the second cord end and a bottom cup having a circular slot for containment of the adjustable weights. The top cone and bottom cup threaded together by a friction ring comprise the cone element. The cone element and adjustable weights attached by the elongated cord revolve in a circular path around the user by movement of the leg ring positioned around a user's first leg and continuous revolutions maintained byjumping or skipping over the circular path of the device with a second leg of the user.

  • Patent number: 6938859
Abstract: A gauge mounting device (20) for an improved mounting a gauge (17) to an instrument panel (19) including an annular gauge bracket assembly comprised of a gauge bracket having an inner tapering thread profile forming a helical pitch, a gripper ring disposed within the inner tapering thread profile having a plurality of gripping teeth radially aligned on a inner surface of the gripper ring and freely moveable along the inner tapering thread profile. The gauge bracket engaged onto a conical or cylindrical gauge housing having a gauge disposed therein and preventing further rotation of the conical gauge housing forming a stationery helix. The gauge bracket rotated causing forward movement by the helical pitch traveling along the stationery helix from the gripper ring resulting in increasing gripping force applied to the conical or cylindrical gauge housing and increasing sandwiching force between the gauge bracket and the conical or cylindrical gauge housing.

  • Patent number: 6089148
Abstract: A fixed stroke power press safety stop block, manufactured of a light weight metal or plastic sufficient to withstand the dead weight of a ram and an attached upper die shoe preventing inadvertent downward movement of said ram. The stop block manufactured to be disposed on top of an existing die stop of a lower die shoe of said press and extending upwardly beneath the upper die shoe in the relative space between said die stop and said upper die platen when ram is in a upper most open position. Said block having a height equivalent to the fixed stroke of said ram less no greater than 0.250 of an inch permitting use of stop block in all die sets used relative to said press notwithstanding variances in shut heights. It is understood said shut height is determined by adjustment of ram crankshaft configuration causing contact by said upper die shoe with lower die stop at the lower most position of said ram.
