Abstract: A computer-controlled servo lung simulator including a mechanical piston which simulates the mechanical properties of the human lung, chest wall and diaphragm. The computer control implemented in the invention includes methods for controlling the servo lung simulator to provide the simulation and control signals for the mechanical piston.
