  • Patent number: 6648295
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus that will dampen vibration and sound created by heavy machinery, such as metal presses, metal stampers, and HVAC units, as well as limit lateral movement of the heavy machinery based upon a combination of a multiplicity of air springs and rigid cylinders. The present invention provides the simplest method of dampening vibrations and sounds created by heavy machinery. The present invention further prevents lateral movement of the machinery, while simultaneously providing a means to protect such machinery against seismic events by absorbing the seismic forces.

  • Patent number: 6327993
Abstract: An overhead storage system for a boat bimini top comprising an elongated unitized backing material. The backing material has a front end, a rear end, a left and right side, a top surface, and bottom surface. Attached to the bottom surface of the backing material is a series of storage pockets. The storage pockets are of varying sizes and are generally rectangular in shape and have a hinged lid. Along the bottom left and right side of the backing material is an edge channel housing a telescoping pole. The telescoping poles provide support and structure to the backing material and storage pockets. At the bow end of each telescoping pole is a V-shaped bend, which generally conforms to the contour of a bimini shade cover. Mounted perpendicular to the telescoping poles and below the backing material, are several spreader bars. On the top side of the backing material are a series of support battens and batten sleeves which keep the backing material from sagging.

  • Patent number: 6260318
Abstract: The present invention relates to wall construction, and more particularly to a new and improved means for bracing parallel studs, draft dampening between parallel studs within interior wall structures, and anchoring hand rails and grab bars to walls using a single unitary device. A one piece elongated metal plate is inserted transversely between parallel metal studs to provide the largest percentage of closure between metal studs thereby forming a fire stop (also known as a draft dampener) within the completed wall assembly and simultaneously providing a metal backing for the installation of handrails and grab bars in conformity with requirement of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Uniform Building Code requirements. The insertion of this one piece elongated plate further serves to reinforce the strength of metal studs permitting the use of lighter gauge metal studs resulting in construction cost savings.
