  • Patent number: 4939931
Abstract: A water meter with integrally constructed fire hydrant to be used for residential applications. The device comprises an input, an output, and a hydrant. The output directs water into the home water supply. Water travels throught the input and through a water meter. The path of the water then experiences a divergent path. One path passes through a valve and out of the hydrant. The other path passes into the home water supply. The device can be installed as easily as a water meter presently is installed. In an alternate embodiment, the hydrant is placed prior to the meter in relation to the flow of water.

  • Patent number: 4901617
Abstract: A hand-held percussion device which can make different sounds when shaken, struck, or scraped is now available. The device comprises a frame that is made of two sound boards interconnected and separated by a top block on one end and joined on the other end. Between the top and bottom of the device, a bridge interconnects and separates the sound boards thereby determining their length and tension. The bridge also creates at least two separated sound chambers in the frame. A top plate is placed over the upper side of the sound boards and a lower plate is placed over the bottom side of the sound boards. The top plate and bottom plate, respectively, can be separated from the sound boards by use of spacers. Filler materials such as "BBs" or other bead-like materials can be placed within one or more of the chambers thereby allowing the device to make noise when vibrated.

  • Patent number: 4873897
Abstract: A device is provided for the unlocking of car doors despite the existence of anti-theft devices such as an inner shell. The device is bent in such a way so as to circumvent the inner shell placed in car doors by manufacturers which prevent the use of other door unlocking devices. The device also is bent in such a way so as to unlock a car door despite the existence of anti-theft devices such as plastic coating on the locking bar that prevents other earlier devices from being used. The device is a continuous metallic rod bent at precise angles and at precise lengths so as to take advantage of the spaces in between the window and the outer shell, the hole within the inner shell, and the distance between the hole and the inner shell and the locking device. The device is constructed very efficiently and cheaply.

  • Patent number: 4860616
Abstract: A rotary sheet die suitable for use in the cutting of paper webs and the like is manufactured by securing the sheet to a hollow mandrel using mechanical clamps and internal vaccum. The mandrel and sheet assembly is then placed in an EDM apparatus in which vertical movement of the electrode is gear synchronized with the rotary movement of the mandrel and sheet combination. Chilled dielectric fluid is used to flush and cool the electrode and sheet die interface.

  • Patent number: 4822028
Abstract: A portable exercise device has a frame which is adapted for the sliding linear motion of plates attached to opposed hand grips. First and second opposed wedges are mounted within the frame, one of which is moved linearly to adjust the compression of perpendicular oriented springs within each of the hand grips. Corresponding slot and pin means are used to prevent linear movement of the hand grips if inadequate perpendicular force is applied. In operation, the device provides both isometric and isotonic exercise.

  • Patent number: 4789099
Abstract: A method for chemical spray treatment of unwanted bird roosts whereby a mixture of water and chemical wetting agents are pumped to the spray location under high pressure through flexible water hose. A single vertical riser pipe is assembled and hinge mounted to a portable base support which is adjusted to match the ground terrain. A water powered rotating sprinkler is attached to the top of the pipe and adjusted to the desired spray arc and radius. The pipe and sprinkler are hoisted to the vertical position, secured, and the roost is sprayed until the birds are soaked. The portable base support is assembled with hinge pins and has adjustments on each leg to allow it to conform to the ground terrain.
