Abstract: A golf swing training apparatus is disclosed. The invention includes a bifurcated training apparatus having two operative elements, including an upper grip portion and a lower slide portion, the portions configured to be cooperatively engaged both with a golf club and each other in a defined cooperative manner. When assembled in the preferred truncated frustoconical structure, the lower slide portion is axially slidable along a length of golf club handle to assist the golfer to learn a desired swing position.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhancing the size of lips. The apparatus is a clear or flesh colored polymer strip with a strong moisture activated adhesive on one side. A user inserts the apparatus on the inside of their lip with an attached applicator. Once in proper position, the user simply pulls the applicator away. When in place the lip enhancer maintains a stretch in the inner lip tissue, causing more of the lip to be exposed externally, thus making the lip appear noticeably larger. Users may talk, eat, and drink while using the lip enhancer.
Abstract: An auxiliary braking system for supplementing an existing bicycle braking system is disclosed. The brake wire of the auxiliary braking system is removably secured to an existing primary brake wire, so that the actuation of the auxiliary braking system causes the main brake wire to pull and activate the caliper brakes. The interconnection of the auxiliary brake wire to the main brake wire is achieved through a housing joiner which secures the auxiliary brake wire to the top tube of the bicycle frame and a bullet clamp which creates a secure connection between the main brake wire and the auxiliary brake wire.
Abstract: An accessory for a power hand tool including a rolling support structure for supporting and carrying the hand tool over a substrate at a user-selected or preselected working depth or height of the disc grinder or sander or similar material processor is disclosed. The accessory includes a support bracket having a longitudinal axis for attachment to a portion of the housing at an intermediate position of the support bracket, together with a pair of substrate-surface engaging rollers adjustably secured to the support bracket at mounting locations longitudinally separated from the intermediate attachment position. For a power hand tool having a housing including a cylindrical outer surface portion coaxially aligned with the drive shaft of the power tool, the attachment portion of the accessory includes a corresponding concavity for being installed about the cylindrical portion of the housing in nesting relationship with a clearance fit therebetween to allow for angular adjustment therebetween.
Abstract: A joint-specific apparatus that reliably retains a cold pack in a preselected position and under compression adjacent to an anatomical structure such as a limb or joint, or adjacent to an anatomical region, to maximize the desired therapeutic effect when that anatomical structure or region is cooled or heated.
Abstract: A transportable carrying cases for toiletries, cosmetics and personal hygiene items, for use in both wet and dry environments is disclosed. The carrying case has a main body portion with a top opening, and a perforate floor, a bottom portion configured to receive a lower portion of the main body portion in nesting or contiguous relationship, whereby excess moisture shed from articles contained in the main body portion is drained through the perforate floor into a reservoir provided in the bottom portion spaced below the perforate floor. A lid is secured in one of a plurality of telescoped positions to close the top opening of the main body portion, by a handle portion locking the lid in a closed configuration in one of a plurality of telescoped positions adjacent to the main body portion.
Abstract: A fastener for removably securing components to a skateboard is disclosed. The fastener includes a bolt having a head from which one or more fillets extend in coaxial alignment along the bolt shaft, and are equiangularly spaced about the bolt shaft. The fillets decrease in outer diameter as they extend down from the bolt head and terminate at or above a threaded or non-threaded extent of the shaft. Outer flange-like tips extend from the substantially planar bolt head in a spaced, circumferential arrangement, and optionally, the flanges are turned down at their distal ends in the direction of the top surface of the skateboard. When tightened, the fillets engage with the walls of the bolt hole and the flanges bite into the top surface of the skateboard, preventing rotation of the bolt in the fully installed condition but enabling ready removal of components as desired.
Abstract: Apparatus for and method of use for a heat exchanger in an HVAC system having a system refrigerant for heat transfer between a radiator and a heat exchanger, in heat transfer communication through the heat exchanger. Single or multiple heat exchange loops and flow controllers maintain system balance during operation of the system.
Abstract: A location monitoring system for tracking an object relative to a virtual boundary via telecommunication infrastructure for use in an electronic-commerce environment. In one embodiment the system includes a wireless communications network and the telecommunications infrastructure to dynamically configure the virtual boundary, by controlled, subscription-based access to the location monitoring system.
Abstract: An audio speaker is incorporated in a ventilation register having a front grill through which sound generated by the audio speaker is projected, and a back plate to which the audio speaker is secured, spaced apart from the front grill by side plates to form an enclosure adapted to be received in registration with the ventilation duct. The back plate includes at least one and preferably a plurality of ventilation slots offset from and surrounding the audio speaker for communicating an air flow between the front grill and the back plate of the speaker arrangement, thereby allowing for the unimpeded operation of the ventilation system. So as to provide thermal protection for sensitive components of the audio speaker, thermal barrier is installed over the rearward extending speaker components to thermally isolate those components from conditioned, heated and cooled air either being flowed into or out of the room.
