Abstract: A method of making an acoustic assembly for use in a transducer includes forming a multi-layer assembly. The multi-layer assembly includes a first layer member and a second layer member. Each member includes a center portion, an edge portion and an aperture separating the center portion and the edge portion. The assembly has an assembly stiffness that is greater than the stiffness of either the first or second layer members. A hinge joins the assembled first and second center portions and the first and second edge portions such that the assembled first and second center portions is free to at least partially rotate relative to the assembled first and second edge portions about an axis. A flexible layer member is coupled to the assembly and provides airtight sealing of the passageway.

Abstract: A printing press includes a frame that supports one or more printing units. Each printing unit includes a retractable inker module cantileverly supported by the frame, an ink injection system having a pump, a sidelay registration mechanism for one or more plate cylinders of the printing unit, an extension sleeve extending a length of a plate cylinder sleeve, and an expandable layer for each blanket cylinder and plate cylinder that provides changing the inner diameter of the blanket cylinder and the plate cylinder.

Abstract: A switch that can be installed within an aperture in a housing of an electronic device without obstructing the aperture via a port through the switch. In a particular application, the switch can be utilized in connection with a port of a microphone in a hearing aid. The switch is capable of being installed within an aperture in a faceplate of a hearing aid. The switch comprises a base having an aperture therein and two base electrical contacts, and an actuator having an aperture therein and an actuator electrical contact. The actuator is adapted to cooperate with the base to permit movement of the actuator to an open switch position and a closed switch position, wherein the actuator contact makes contact with the base contacts when the actuator is in the closed switch position.
