Abstract: A composition comprising at least one oligomer of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is selected from the group consisting of alkylene of two to twelve carbon atoms, inclusive, alkylidene of one to twelve carbon atoms, inclusive, cycloalkylene of four to twelve carbon atoms, inclusive, cycloalkylidene of four to twelve carbon atoms, inclusive, ##STR2## a is zero or 1; n is an integer of one to about fifteen;R is alkylene of two to eight carbon atoms, inclusive, or alkylidene of one to eight carbon atoms, inclusive;R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and are alkyl or one to four carbon atoms, inclusive or halo;b and c are the same or different and are an integer of zero to four; andR.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and are alkyl of one to eight carbon atoms, inclusive, or phenyl; andd and e are individually integers of 0.1 or 2 with the proviso that d & e is at least one.

Abstract: An aromatic carbonate resin composition comprising:(i) at least one aromatic carbonate resin;(ii) at least one polyolefin;(iii) at least one fluorinated polyolefin; and(iv) at least one silicone fluid;components (ii)-(iv) being present in amounts which are effective to improve the wear resistance of said aromatic carbonate resin.
Abstract: The invention relates to polymer mixtures which comprise an aromatic polycarbonate and a rubber-modified polystyrene. The polystyrene used is characterized by a particular structure: a polystyrene matrix having dispersed therein rubber-like particles with a capsule morphology and an average particle size from 0.2 to 0.6 micrometers.

Abstract: Thermoplastically moldable polycarbonate resins are improved by the blending therewith a thermoplastically moldable polyurethane characterized by high impact resistance, high flexural modulus, and a heat deflection temperature of at least 50.degree. C. at 18.6 Kg/cm.sup.2. Impact modifiers can also be present.

C., andd. separating crystalline bisphenol-A from the mother liquor.
