  • Patent number: 7551066
Abstract: A method for transmitting data for a security device, in particular for access authorization systems and/or driving authorization systems of a motor vehicle, in which data are transmitted over the air from a transmitter unit to a receiver unit. In a method in which, despite contactless interrogation of the identification signal transmitter, an authorizing access information item cannot be obtained by a third party, the data are transmitted, after capacitive coupling of the transmitter unit and receiver unit, from the transmitter to the receiver using a signal which is generated by a capacitive alternating field.

  • Patent number: 7296477
Abstract: A composite material has a laminated structure of fiber-reinforced resin layers and films of a shape-memory alloy. A predetermined strain has been applied to each film. A damage sensor has a film of an alloy of nickel and titanium. An electric circuit is bonded to the film, and strain gages are connected to the electric circuit. The damage sensor can be laminated to the resin layers in place of the film of the shape-memory alloy. Damage to the composite material is suppressed as follows: A current is applied to the films of the shape-memory alloy, to monitor change in electric resistance of the films. The damage is located in response to the change in electric resistance. Another current is applied to a film of the shape-memory alloy for which the change is larger than the other films to generate heat for deforming the film to generate shrinking stress or shear stress to the damage.

  • Patent number: 7287449
Abstract: Screwing tool (1) having a grip (2) and a shank (3), which is received removably in a cavity (4) open toward an end of the grip (2) and which at its free end has an actuating portion (5). The shank (3) is retained in a position of use such that it is fixed in terms of rotation on the grip, to avoid sliding in the axial direction, by a retaining element (14) associated with the grip (2). The retaining element (14) can be displaced into a removal position by displacement of an actuating member (6) in order for the shank to be removed from the grip (2). In a storage position, a large part of the shank (3) is located in the cavity (4), where it is held by a holding element (H). The holding element (H) is releasable, so that part of the shank (3) can be moved out.

  • Patent number: 7171925
Abstract: A method for reversing the direction of rotation of a two-stroke engine whose rotational speed and crank mechanism position are sensed by a sensor system. To reverse the direction of rotation of the engine, the ignition and/or the fuel supply is first switched off, and upon a subsequent coasting of the engine, a targeted early ignition is set when a specific limiting rotational speed is undershot and after, if appropriate, the fuel supply has been resumed. Early ignition reverses the direction of rotation of the engine, and the fuel supply and ignition are subsequently controlled in accordance with the reversed direction of rotation. A single sensor interacts with an incremental transducer having a specific number of transducer segments distributed uniformly over a circumference to determine the instantaneous angular speed of the crank mechanism and the crank mechanism position.

  • Patent number: 7168314
Abstract: An ultrasonic filling level sensor (1), has an elongated measuring chamber (2), which is provided with an opening (3) at each of its two ends, wherein a liquid has the same filling level as outside the measuring chamber (2). • Patent number: 7159457
Abstract: A mass flow sensor (1) has a sensor element whose measuring signal is representative of a mass flow in a main duct (4), specifically without taking into account the direction of flow of the mass flow which flows past the sensor element. In addition, a further sensor element is provided which is arranged in a recess in a body and which is coupled via a coupling element to the main duct (4), with the coupling element being embodied in such a way that the recess lies in the wind shadow of the main direction of flow of the mass flow in the main duct (4) and brings about a flow in the recess counter to the main direction of flow. A mass current is determined in the main duct (4) as a function of the measuring signal of the sensor element. A correction value is determined as a function of the measuring signal of the further sensor element. The mass flow which is determined is corrected by means of the correction value.

  • Patent number: 7157982
Abstract: In a Wien-Robinson oscillator, a negative feedback path and a positive feedback path are arranged between the output of an operational amplifier and a reference ground potential. The negative feedback path contains two resistors which are connected in series and whose common circuit point is connected to the inverting input of the operational amplifier. The positive feedback path is formed from two RC elements which are connected in series and whose common circuit point is connected to the non-inverting input of the operational amplifier. If the aim is to keep the amplitude of the output voltage from the oscillator constant, additional measures are required, which increase the circuitry complexity. In order to stabilize the output voltage from the oscillator with little complexity, a third resistor is arranged between the output of the operational amplifier and that end of the positive feedback path which faces away from the reference ground potential.

  • Patent number: 7124581
Abstract: A drive mechanism for an injection molding machine has an output element that is moveable in a straight line and an electric motor drive unit having an electric motor and a piston-cylinder unit which has a first piston-cylinder unit in the force chain between the output element of the electric-motor drive unit and the movable component. A rapid actuating movement is possible and, the action of a high force is also achievable wherein a second piston-cylinder unit and a third piston-cylinder unit. A fluidic connection between the first cylinder chamber and the second cylinder chamber is controllable via a valve. When the valve is open, the second hydraulic piston displaces pressurized liquid from the second cylinder chamber into the first cylinder chamber, to actuate the movable component and, when the valve is closed, the third hydraulic piston displaces pressurized liquid from the third cylinder chamber into the first cylinder chamber to exert a high force on the movable component.

  • Patent number: 7106052
Abstract: Inductive proximity switch has a first transmitting coil (S1) and a first receiving coil (E1) of a receiving coil arrangement. The transmitting coil (S1) transmits an exciting field inducing eddy currents in a metallic trip (1) brought into the vicinity of the proximity switch.
