Abstract: The invention relates to a device which presents a batter with a moving ball simulating a ball which has been thrown or pitched. The device is designed to swing a tethered ball in a substantially horizontal path, thereby presenting a batter with a moving baseball. The tether extends through a hollow shaft and has one of its ends attached to a ball and its other end attached to a clamp; the clamp being adjustable along the outer surface of the hollow shaft. The shaft is supported on a base and is rotatable relative to the base by a motor.
Abstract: A tool is provided which enables one to place a reinforcing ring on both standard and miniature flexible magnetic discs. By a simple reversal of the parts two sizes of discs can be accommodated.
Abstract: An apparatus for weighing and discharging material such as down, feathers, and the like is disclosed. Feathers, down and the like are transported from a storage container to a weighing drum by means of a flow of air which passes horizontally into and through the weighing drum, whereby the feathers are deposited in the drum. When a desired weight has accumulated, the flow of air to the drum is diverted and the accumulation of feathers may be discharged from the drum. Upon completion of the discharge, the flow of air carrying feathers is again directed into the drum.
