  • Patent number: 6116604
Abstract: An apparatus is provided that is a computer-processor-based word game in which the object is to transform a first word into a second word using the last two letters of the first word as the first two letters of the second word where the second word fits the definition given for that word. • Patent number: 6012940
Abstract: An apparatus is provided that is a semi-permanent cord retaining device having a single-piece, resilient, clip with at least two angled slots to receive the electrical power cord and the extension cord to be coupled. The two cords are twisted together and the clip is then inserted within the twist, sliding the cords into the slots. A gentle tug locks the clip in place and prevents the male and female electrical connectors of the cords from separating.

  • Patent number: 5914284
Abstract: A system is provided for processing a volume of human sludge with sea water and chemical reactants to generate methane gas and to reduce the volume by at least eighty percent (80%). This is by having a series of processing containers for receiving, holding and processing the sludge volume by way of a volume of sea water and chemical reactants. A first processing container is constructed with a means for mechanically agitating the sludge volume and collecting methane gas released therefrom. The system further has a second processing container for processing a sludge mixture transferred from the first processing container for further treatment of said sludge mixture by sea water and chemical reactants with a means for collecting methane gas released therefrom. A filter system for filtering said sludge volume and said sludge mixture is included in each of the processing containers.

  • Patent number: 5848668
Abstract: A method, device and system are provided that is a portable lifting system for easy movement of moderately heavy items, including a base member, a vertical support member connected to the base member and a load member slideably connected along the vertical support member. The system is typically small in size, allowing for ease of loading, lifting, transporting and unloading of moderately heavy objects of 25 to 100 pounds. The system is typically used in enclosed areas such as an office, home, workshop, garage or basement. The actual load member varies depending upon the type of load being lifted. A common type connector is used allowing interchangeability between the various load members. The system can further include a mechanical advantage member including a screw or a motor to control load member height. The mechanical advantage member may be controlled manually, or electronically.

  • Patent number: 5737771
Abstract: A heat resistant limb brace (10) comprising a flexible liner (12) to be worn about the skin (14) on a limb (16) of a person (18). An insulation jacket (20) is affixed to the flexible liner (12) to protect the skin (14) from heat, so that the skin (14) will not burn. A non-slip cover (22) is attached to the insulation jacket (20), to prevent items (24) placed against the non-slip cover (22) from sliding off.
