Abstract: Feeding structures for suspended plate antennas are disclosed hereinafter for enhancing the impedance bandwidth performance thereof. In any of these feeding structures, a multi-dimensional broadband impedance transformer is integrated with a suspended plate antenna. The impedance transformer electrically connects the radiating plate and feeding probe of the suspended plate antenna. As a result, the impedance bandwidth is increased. Moreover, the multi-dimensional design of the impedance transformer is variable to allow the flexible design and adjustment of the feeding structure.
Abstract: The invention relates to an an SPR surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy sensor for parallel measurement of a plurality of samples, comprising a body (1a) having several SPR sensor areas (2) for guiding radiation in order to carry out SPR measurements and which are coated with a material which is suitable for SPR in such a way that each SPR sensor area (2) can be exclusively associated with a single sample. The radiation conducting body (1a) forms a unit with the SPR sensor areas (2), whereby the path of the rays guided by the SPR sensor areas (2) can also extend through the radiation conducting body (1a).

Abstract: A stencil printing machine includes a drum which is rotatable and has an outer peripheral wall formed by an ink impermeable member and in which a stencil sheet is mounted on a surface of the outer peripheral wall. An ink supply device has an ink supply unit at a printing position upstream of a maximum printing area of the outer peripheral wall of the drum and supplies ink on the surface of the outer peripheral wall from the ink supply unit. A pressure roller presses a fed print medium onto the outer peripheral wall.
Abstract: A stapler processing apparatus includes a paper jogging tray 6 for a collated sheet 3, a paper jogging unit 7 for jogging the collated sheet 3 by pressing it on the tray 6 by a presser jogging member 13, a stapler 8 for stapling the collated sheet 3 jogged by the paper jogging unit 7 and a paper discharging unit 9 for discharging the collated sheet 3 stapled by the stapler 6 from the tray 6. In operation, when the stapler 8 staples the collated sheet 3, it is forced to the tray 6 while making an upper driven roller 30b in close contact with a lower drive roller 30a. After stapling by the stapler 8, the paper jogging operation of the paper jogging unit 7 is stopped and the upper driven roller 30b is separated from the lower drive roller 30a to release the collated sheet 3 from it nipped state once. Subsequently, the upper driven roller 30b is brought into close contact with the lower drive roller 30a again and the discharge operation is started.
Abstract: A supporting member is for supporting a headrest. A pressure receiving member is attached to the supporting member. The pressure receiving member has a pressure receiving portion at a lower end thereof for a load to be applied to. A frame member is attached with the supporting member to be pivoted with the headrest. The frame member is a pair of side frames or an upper-cross member.
Abstract: A double-acting hydraulic actuator with an axial locking device has a cylinder chamber defined by two coaxial cylindrical walls of different diameters interconnected by a frustoconical wall. A guide piston sliding in the smaller-diameter cylindrical wall is fixed to an end of an actuator rod. The actuator rod has an annular protuberance of diameter equal to the diameter of the cylindrical wall. An annular stepped piston providing sealing between the two cylinder chambers is slidably mounted in a middle portion of the actuator rod to slide between the piston and the annular protuberance. When the actuator is extended, a narrowed end of the annular piston bears against conical surfaces of two half-rings and urges them outwards. When the half-rings are pushed outwards and the narrowed end of the annular piston becomes interposed between them and the middle portion of the actuator rod.
Abstract: A medical, bioresorbable implant, particularly for cruciate ligament augmentation, is constructed as a composite structure in textile construction from at least two biocompatible polymer materials, which differ in their chemical composition and/or polymer structure and which are degradable, the implant having a predetermined initial tensile stiffness and a different degradation behaviour of the polymers and/or the textile construction is selected in such a way that the tensile stiffness decreases during degradation.

Abstract: With two consecutive product-coded ECC blocks, EB1 and EB2, as a set, the rth row of first ECB block EB1 is followed by the rth row of second ECC block EB2 in such a way that the first row of first ECC block EB1 is followed by the first row of second ECB block EB2, which is followed by the second row of first ECC block ECB1, which is followed by the second row of second ECC block EB2, and so on, to interleave data on a row basis. That is, data of two ECC blocks, EB1 and EB2, is allocated alternately on a row basis. This allocation method allows an error to be distributed after reproduction even when a serious burst error extending 18 rows occurs in an ECC block.
Abstract: A film scanning device using the same CCD light sensor for pictures of strip film and for a slide mount also comprises a body having a strip film transport path disposed there through. The transport path has a first opening in the body for inserting a developed strip film, a second opening in the body through which the developed strip film exits the body, and a third opening for inserting and pulling out a slide mount juxtaposed vertically relative to the strip film transport path.
Abstract: A printing machine as described has a plurality of image formation units each of which serves to perform an printing operation on a printing sheet. Particularly, the printing machine is capable of reporting an error in the printing operation in order to minimize the time period during which the printing machine does not work, and of effectively supporting the printing job of the user.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for regulating a switching circuit of a voltage converter for supplying power to a pulsed load having a known upcoming magnitude. The voltage converter includes a switching circuit receiving a switching signal with duty cycle that is adjusted by a voltage controller. The voltage controller is responsive to a known upcoming cycle phase and a corresponding magnitude of the pulsed load for forward-correcting the duty cycle of the switching signal. In order to compensate for variations in load consumption owing, for example, to varying ambient conditions, circuit aging, battery discharge and other slow changes, or for imprecise foreknowledge thereof, the voltage controller may also monitor an output voltage of the voltage converter during successive cycles and apply feedback correction based on a predicted value of compensation required for the respective phase of a subsequent cycle.
