  • Patent number: 4322090
Abstract: A ski mountaineering binding, used for both alpine ski touring and downhill skiing, comprises a subassembly of ski boot binding components used for alpine ski touring, utilizing a hinged flexible touring plate under the sole of a skier's boot, and a subassembly of ski boot safety plate binding components used for downhill skiing. The subassembly of alpine ski touring ski boot binding components during downhill skiing are non flexibly secured from toe to heel, after the flexure interfitting of the rear of the hinged flexible touring plate to a non flexible downhill plate, to which the front of the hinged flexible touring plate is always pivotally secured. During alpine ski touring and downhill skiing the six way safety release functions of the downhill plate safety binding are potentially immediately available.

  • Patent number: 4206911
Abstract: A stand with positioned u-shaped cutouts is capable of re-centering and relocating used trailer axle suspension spring pads. The stand is further capable of controlling the shortening of used trailer axles. Positioned on either side of the u-shaped cutouts are blocks which conform to the dimensions of the housing of the spring pad. The spring pads are first cut from the trailer axles. By placing the spring pad housing on the blocks which are at given distances from each other, the trailer axle suspension spring pads, when re-secured to the trailer axle are assured of being placed at the required center. When the axles are shortened, the axle is cut in half, the spring pads are placed in the desired position, and the axle is welded back together at the desired length.

  • Patent number: 4199871
Abstract: An automatic hold speed setting control method and apparatus is used in conjunction with the method and apparatus of a continuous wood veneer dryer conveyor speed control monitoring computer apparatus. This automatic hold speed setting control apparatus is triggered when electrical signals cease, that were being generated by a tachometer monitoring the conveyor speed of the continuous wood veneer dryer. It then allows the automatic speed control monitoring computer apparatus to remain on the line possibly throughout two minutes to determine whether or not the shutdown of the dryer conveyor is perhaps only temporary. If not temporary, this automatic hold speed setting control apparatus becomes effective in disconnecting the automatic speed control monitoring computer apparatus and in holding a conveyor speed setting established just before the dryer conveyor shutdown.
