Abstract: Taught is a cotton stalk bark fiber. The fiber is a natural textile fiber made of cotton stalk balk. The length of the fiber is 5 mm-65 mm. The fineness thereof is 0.3-2.5 denier. The intensity thereof is 0.284-0.432 N/tex. The breaking elongation rate thereof is 3%-6%. Taught is further a method for processing cotton stalk bark fiber comprising peeling, skimming, degumming, preserving, cutting, tanning, opening, carding, baking, boxing and classifying, and packaging. The invention provides an inexpensive natural fiber having wide applications in the textile industry. The fiber has a similar performance to bast fiber, higher intensity than cotton fiber, and may be blended with other natural fiber, man-made fibers and recycled fiber to form fiber yarn for various purposes. This method changes waste into a commodity, and brings about economic and social benefits.
Abstract: A method for testing anticorrosion performance of an aqueous protective fluid by immersing a testing electrode comprising a plurality of individual electrodes insulated from and spaced with respect to one another into an aqueous protective fluid; immersing a reference electrode into the aqueous protective fluid at a predetermined distance from the testing electrode; connecting an Ohmmeter sequentially between each of the individual electrodes and the reference electrode to measure a plurality of electrical resistances between each of the individual electrodes and the reference electrode whereby obtaining a distribution of resistances. The distribution of resistances defines the anticorrosion performance of the aqueous protective fluid.
Abstract: Provided is a pan cleaner, comprising a cleaning portion, a brush sweeping portion having a cleaning component and a driving portion; wherein the cleaning portion provides cleaning fluid for a pan, the cleaning component is contacted with an inner surface of the pan, so as to brush the inner surface of the pan, and the driving portion is connected to and drives the brush sweeping portion. The pan cleaner of the invention can effectively remove residues in a pan, and thus decreases labor intensity of a chef and increases hygiene quality.

Abstract: Taught herein is an identification device for golf club head covers comprising an outer shell having a front cover and a back cover; a window for displaying identifying indicia disposed on said front cover; a disk bearing a plurality of identification indicia; means for rotating the disk intermittently so that the identifying indicia are displayed through the window, one indicium at a time, the means being disposed within said outer shell; and means for connecting the identification device to a golf club head cover. Since a plurality of different identification indicia can be displayed at a push of a button, a convenient and easy to use identification device for golf club head covers is realized.
Abstract: Taught is a method of removal surface contaminants, including organic contaminants, metal ions and solid particles, from silicon wafer surface comprising the following steps: (a) submerging the silicon wafer surface in an aqueous cleaning agent solution through which current is passed using a boron-doped diamond film as an electrode; (b) submerging the silicon wafer surface in an aqueous cleaning agent solution; subjecting the silicon wafer to ultrasound waves; and, optionally, heating the solution; (c) submerging the silicon wafer surface in water through which current is passed using a boron-doped diamond film as an electrode; (d) submerging the silicon wafer surface in water with ultrasound and heating; (e) repeating step (d); and (f) spraying the silicon surface with water. The results obtained using the method according to this invention are far superior to those obtained with conventional methods. The technology is simple, convenient to operate, and environmentally friendly.

Abstract: Taught herein is a portable digital horizontal inclinometer which utilizes magnetic field to dampen the free swing of the pendulum. The inclinometer features simple structure, small size, high sensitivity, good linearity, high precision, and strong anti-jamming capability. It is also easy to manufacture and provide fast and accurate reading over a wide range of inclination angles of up to 360° .
Abstract: Taught herein is a reclaimed water reuse device, comprising a biological reaction tank, a membrane module, a water pool, an inlet-drainage device, an outlet device, a water-generating device, a first aeration device, a backwash device and a membrane filtering pool, wherein the inlet-drainage device feeds water into or drains water from the biological reaction tank; the water generating pipe supplies clean water from the membrane module to the water pool; the first aeration device cleans the membrane module; the membrane module is disposed in the membrane filtering pool; the backwash device is connected to the membrane module via the outlet device; and the backwash device washes back the membrane filtering pool. A method for cleaning a reclaimed water reuse device is also taught herein.
Abstract: A multi-functional flow control valve for a water treatment system includes a valve body having a water inlet port, a water outlet port and an effluent outlet. A valve core connected with a valve rod is placed inside the valve body. The valve body defines a flow channel therein for connecting with an inside and an outside of a filter element of the water treatment system, respectively. The valve core includes a moving valve disk and a fixed valve disk whose head faces are aligned hermetically rotationally. The moving valve disk is connected to the valve rod. The fixed valve disk defines a plurality of through holes which are connected to the water inlet port, the water outlet port and the effluent outlet, respectively. The moving valve disk defines a through hole and two blind recesses therein.

Abstract: The invention teaches a cargo container craning apparatus comprising a crane; a trolley mounted flexibly on the crane; a spreader attached to the trolley by a suspension rope; a drive mechanism capable of moving the trolley; and a radiation detection device. The radiation detection device serves to detect the contents of the container while the container is being transferred and comprises a support frame; a detector frame; and a radiation detector being disposed on the detector frame; wherein the support frame is aligned with the spreader and is suspended by a suspension rope; and the detector frame is disposed on one side of the support frame. The radiation detection device allows ascertaining whether any hazardous radioactive materials are present in the container. The addition of a radiation body to the radiation detection device allows for radio-imaging of the container contents.

Abstract: A hemodialysis apparatus comprises dialyzer means, dialyzing solution supply means, blood circulation means, and blood irradiation means. Employing electromagnetic radiation in the red visible and near infrared spectrum as part of a hemodialysis apparatus prevents long-term side effects associated with the use of dialysis, including cardiovascular diseases and anemia, and protects and restores the remaining kidney function.
Abstract: This invention provides a method for eliminating the surface stress of a silicon wafer comprising forming one or more anti-stress groove(s) on the surface of the silicon wafer. These anti-stress grooves can reduce or eliminate the surface stress of silicon wafer effectively to avoid the formation of slip lines and dislocation arrangements, which may induce the p-n junction to conduct or the leakage current to increase. The process is highly efficient and low in cost. It is simple to manage and does not require additional equipment beyond that already used for processing of silicon wafers.

Abstract: Methods for treating landfill leachate taught herein comprise: (a) coagulatively settling leachate; (b) filtering the resultant supernatant liquid through multistage cartridges; (c) filtering the filtered liquid by reverse osmosis; and (d) treating the resultant liquid with chlorine-based oxidant. These methods provide the advantages of efficient wastewater treatment, compact equipment size, short process flow, and low startup and operational costs.
