Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and the method for the preparation thereof. The composition comprises 1.5˜6.9% (w/v) of one or more substances selected from sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate, calcium chloride, calcium gluconate, and the like, and 3˜18% (w/v) of one or more substances selected from hydroxyethylstarch, dextran, carboxymethylstarch, polyvinyl-pyrrolidone, gelatin derivatives, and the like as well as the remainder of conventional injections, as long as sodium chloride is not less than 1.5% (w/v). The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention is used to treat and save the wounded and patients, as well as to treat shock, its advantages include safe and convention use, rapid and good curative effect, long time maintenance, extensive uses and the like.
Abstract: A support assembly for a signal such as a signal flag or the like, which is structured for multiple uses by the provision of an end piece removably attached in different operative positions to the distal end of a staff having an elongated configuration of variable length. The multiple uses of the support assembly is due to the end piece comprising a tool, preferably in the form of a hook, such that when the end piece/tool is disposed in at least one of the operative orientations, the staff and end piece/tool can be used as a boat hook assembly. When so used, a shaft structured to support the signal flag thereon may be disposed on the interior of the staff, along with the flag furled thereabout. Another of the operative orientations comprises the flag shaft disposed exteriorly of the staff in an exposed position for display of the signal flag thereon.
Abstract: An X-ray apparatus, in particular a dental X-ray apparatus, includes an X-ray radiation source for generating X-ray radiation to be directed at an object to be investigated, for example, a patient's tooth or jaw. The apparatus has an optical device through which an aiming device, for example, an additional visible pilot radiation generated by a further light source, is directed substantially parallel to the X-ray radiation at the object to be investigated to facilitate the positioning of the X-ray head.

Abstract: A dental X-ray system includes a radiation source used to produce X-rays and disposed in an X-ray head. The system has an electronic sensor used to detect X-rays. The sensor can be detachably connected to a central unit of the X-ray system by a plug-in connection. The electronic control system for the sensor is integrated into a plug connected thereto by an external connection cable and is associated with the sensor, thereby enabling a simple exchange between two sensors. The system can include several sensors that can be operated parallel to each other.

Abstract: An electroacoustic component including a layer system disposed between two substrates and electroacoustic structures for exciting a guided bulk acoustic wave, the electroacoustic structures being devoid of cavities. The layer system includes a piezo-electric layer, at least one metal layer, and a planarizing layer, which includes a planar interface provided with a substrate disposed directly thereabove. Such a component can be produced at a low cost by direct wafer bonding of two wafers. The electroacoustic component structures are electrically connected to the external contacts through perpendicular electrical connections.
Abstract: A structural member includes side walls, a top wall connecting a top region of the side walls, a bottom wall connecting side wall bottoms and extending beyond the side walls to form wings each having one portion of a connector for connecting members to one another, a span connected to the side walls, and truss configurations each connected to the span and the bottom wall and respectively to one side wall. Side walls, top wall, and span define an upper interior chamber and span, truss configurations, and bottom wall define a lower interior chamber. Each truss configuration has a vertical wall and two intermediate walls. An assembly of members interlock with one another in series by connecting a first portion of the connector with a second portion of another member. These interlocked members form a structure for receiving concrete as a base for a ribbed concrete slab.
Abstract: A bifurcated vascular prosthesis implanted using a combined laparoscopic/open and endovascular technique for curing aneurysms of the abdominal aorta includes two stents on distal arms of the prosthesis. A delivery system and surgical kit for the release of the vascular prosthesis includes a pair of balloon release catheters, to be inserted within each corresponding stent and to remain adhering thereto throughout the time prior to release until reinflated with an inflating syringe, and a pair of balloon guide catheters, each including a dilator and a sheath. A method for implanting the prosthesis is also provided.
Abstract: An apparatus for the transoral invagination and fundoplication of the stomach to the esophagus includes a clip applier having sharp toothed jaws for grasping and damaging the fundus prior to applying the clip. The clip applier has an overall diameter of less than 7 mm. The clip applier jaws are coupled to a pull wire via a linkage which increases the mechanical advantage and thus permits greater grasping force. A plurality of clip designs are also provided.

Abstract: An antenna assembly (700) includes a set of conformal shells (704, 706) housing a set of orthogonal dipoles (102, 104, 108, 110) that produce a circularly polarized radiation pattern. The dipoles (102, 104, 108, 110) are fed by a quadrature hybrid (118) and impedance matching circuit (114). The assembly (700) also includes a set of baluns (126, 128) to reduce VSWR.
Abstract: The invention is an adhesive, in particular, for components that operate with surface acoustic waves, including a polymer matrix filled with mineral filler particles. The filler is selected from non-conductive or semi-conductive materials and is contained in the adhesive in such a proportion that the total density of the adhesive when cured is greater than 2000 kg/m3.
Abstract: This invention is directed to a method of delivering vehicle owner's manual or other vehicle-specific information to the vehicle operator from a remote data center and associated vehicle information database by utilizing a voice recognition system at the remote data center and delivering the information to the vehicle operator in audible speech. The vehicle operator speaks his request in the vehicle and the data center recognizes the request, perhaps asks more questions, leads the vehicle operator through a spoken menu, and then provides the answer vocally to the vehicle operator over the speaker(s) located in the vehicle. The invention includes methodology for obtaining vehicle diagnostic information and controlling certain vehicle functions automatically via an embedded telematics control unit. The invention further includes remote telephone access outside the vehicle.

Abstract: An intraoral sensor for a dental X-ray apparatus includes a detection element for detecting the X-ray radiation. The element is disposed in an interior of a housing. To improve the possibilities for cleaning and sterilizing, the housing or parts thereof are of an abrasion resistant material, in particular, of porcelain, ceramic, an enamelling, metal, or of a combination of these materials. To avoid damage to the detection element through external impacts or jarring, the element is mounted within the housing through one or more damping elements.
