Abstract: To provide an electric double layer capacitor having a low resistance, a high withstanding voltage and an excellent low-temperature characteristic. This object is achieved by employing, for an electric double layer capacitor having a pair of polarized electrodes and an electrolytic solution capable of forming an electric double layer at the interface with the polarized electrodes, an electrolytic solution containing as an electrolyte a salt represented by the formula 1, and as solvents at least (1) a chain carbonate having at most 5 carbon atoms, (2) sulfolane or its derivative and (3) a fluorobenzene: wherein each of R1 and R2 which are independent of each other, is a C1-4 alkyl group, and X? is an anion.
Abstract: A turbojet includes a differential gear with a first planetary pinion driven by the shaft of the high pressure spool and a second planetary pinion driven by the shaft of the low pressure spool. The planetary pinions drive satellite pinions mounted in a cage by which the ancillary machines are driven. The satellite pinions and said cage are co-rotary and the mechanical transmission ratio R1 between the high pressure shaft and the first planetary pinion of the differential gear and the transmission ratio R2 between the low pressure shaft and the second planetary pinion of the differential gear are such that the power extraction distribution between the high pressure spool and the low pressure spool at idle speed is between 80%/20% and 20%/80%. The operation of the high pressure compressor is not affected by the maximum power drawn by the ancillary machines.
Abstract: Aqueous dispersion containing a silicon-aluminum mixed oxide powder, the powder containing 0.1 to 99.9 wt. % Al2O3 and Si—O—Al-bonds. The dispersion can be produced using dispersing and/or grinding devices which a achieve an energy input of at least 200 KJ/m3. The dispersion can be used for the chemical-mechanical polishing of semiconductor substrates.

Abstract: A power semiconductor device includes trenches disposed in a first base layer of a first conductivity type at intervals to partition main and dummy cells, at a position remote from a collector layer of a second conductivity type. In the main cell, a second base layer of the second conductivity type, and an emitter layer of the first conductivity type are disposed. In the dummy cell, a buffer layer of the second conductivity type is disposed. A gate electrode is disposed, through a gate insulating film, in a trench adjacent to the main cell. A buffer resistor having an infinitely large resistance value is inserted between the buffer layer and emitter electrode. The dummy cell is provided with an inhibiting structure to reduce carriers of the second conductivity type to flow to and accumulate in the buffer layer from the collector layer.

Abstract: The invention relates to an improved method for producing foamed material, especially poly(meth)acrylimide foams, which are foamed from polymer plates produced according to the casting method. The two-step method consists of a pre-heating step and at least one foaming step. The product obtained has a significantly smaller compressive strain, measured according to DIN 53425(ASMD 621), than prior art products.

Abstract: A system, method and program product for diagnosing, controlling and collecting information from devices. Information regarding events of each one of a plurality of target applications executing in an application unit is collected and formatted into one of multiple data formats for transmission through one of multiple communication protocols at the request of each of the target applications, through an interface. A combination of a data format and communication protocol requested by a target application is verified for validity. If the requested combination is invalid, a valid combination is substituted for more reliable transmission. The formatted data is transmitted through, e.g., e-mail or FTP to a predetermined destination or may be saved to local storage, e.g., a local disk. By sharing resources, code duplication is reduced or eliminated.
Abstract: A mobile unit capable of communication using a plurality of communication subsystems including a usability determination section to determine usability of the plurality of communication subsystems at the current location of the mobile unit. The mobile unit also includes a communication subsystem selection section for selecting a communication subsystem whereby the current location of the mobile unit can be measured with highest accuracy. A mobile telephone network communication section in the mobile device then measures the current location of the mobile unit and transmits the result of determination of usability, together with information indicating the current location, to an information provision server. Then, the mobile unit is able to look up the result of determination of usability from a plurality of mobile units that is stored in the information provision server.

A pilot signal component is extracted from the power amplifier output, then odd-order distortion components of the power series model are extracted by a digital predistorter control part (50) from the pilot signal component, and the odd-order distortions in the digital predistorter (20) are controlled to decrease the levels of the distortion components.

(%), where ? denotes a coefficient of the coating ratio, A2 denotes an amount of developer for a unit area, ? denotes a value determined by a powder characteristic of the developer for an apparent coating ratio calculated with A2=0, and the coating ratio M is between 90% and 120%.
