  • Patent number: 5201641
Abstract: An electrically driven diaphragm suction or pressure pump includes an oscillating anchor magnet that serves as the driving motor. The oscillating anchor magnet has a magnet coil (16), which is concentrically enclosed by a ferromagnetic closing cage (19) which is discontinuous in a circumferential direction. In the interior space of the magnet coil (16), the closing cage forms two pole rings (25,26), separated from one another in the axial direction by a circular slot (27). The closing cage is tightly arranged in a case (28,29). To obtain a high efficiency and high pump capacities, the central anchor shank (39), which is connected to the pump diaphragm, of the oscillating anchor (8), which is provided with a ferromagnetic solenoid plunger (38), is attached to two leaf-type vibratory springs (42, 43), each of which carries and centers on one side an end section projecting out of the closing cage (19) of the magnet coil (16).

  • Patent number: 5202076
Abstract: A rotating mold is fed with a flowable mixture of an inorganic filler material powder and a polyester resin for the purpose of generating or building up individual layers. By selecting the rotating speed during the layer buildup a more or less pronounced separation between resin and filler material is produced inside the layer, the value of the separation being selected in accordance with the specific application the component produced is intended to be used for. Subsequently the layer is fed cut glass fibers made to penetrate at least into the innermost resin-enriched region of the generated layer. Owing to this rotational-speed-controlled distribution of filler material and resin inside the layers, larger values of mechanical strength may be obtained with reduced glass requirements. Any "strain-corrosion" may be avoided by using filler materials containing carbonate.

  • Patent number: 5200011
Abstract: An engineering method of providing a lining onto the internal face of conduits for gas, city water, etc. that are buried underground. This lining work shall entirely be done from the portions exposed above ground. The distance of the supply pipe to the service tee is measured. The lining tube is set to a length that is slightly longer than this distance. The lining tube is turned inside out inside the supply pipe. As a result, a slightly longer length of non-reverse portion is left inside the supply pipe by the service tee. This non-reverse portion is helpful when cutting the rewinding tape that is tied to the lining tube after the insertion of a cutter. Next the heating tube shall be reversed similarly, and a hot water hose is inserted for circulating hot water in the heating tube. The aforesaid lining tube coated with the thermosetting adhesive is bonded onto the internal face of supply pipe. Next the heating tube is pulled out and the rewinding tape of the lining tube is cut and removed.

  • Patent number: 5198004
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a device for removing toxic substances, e.g., dioxins and furans, from flue gases, e.g., a refuse incinerator plant, prior to entry into the smokestack. To adsorb these toxic aromatic substances, activated carbon is mixed with 30-40 vol. % water in a filter vessel, and the flue gases in the form of chains of fine bubbles are passed through the activated carbon-water mixture. The filter vessel 1 has a perforated partition 13 acting as a gas distributor. The activated carbon sludge saturated with toxic substances is drawn off and replaced by correspondingly adding dry activated carbon and water.
