  • Patent number: 7025558
Abstract: A process for the reliable operation of turbocompressors with a surge limit control and a surge limit control valve is described, in which the compressor delivers gases with different compositions and the composition of the gas (molecular weight) affects the performance characteristic of the turbocompressor and hence the position of the surge limit in the performance characteristic. The different compositions of the gases are compensated here with the effect on the position of the surge limit and consequently on the position of the surge limit control line by using predetermined design values for the gas constant R, the isentropic exponent k and the compressibility number z within the surge limit control for the determination of the delivery head ?h and the volume flow V and plotting them in the form of a predetermined surge limit line (FIG. 2, FIG.

  • Patent number: 7020944
Abstract: A device (1) is provided for pressing out a component pressed into a bearing bore of a bearing eye of an axle component. The device includes a support bell (2) being supported at the bearing eye in the area around the bearing bore and a pressure piece (20), which can be pushed axially through the bearing bore together with the component. The pressing device can be operatively positioned or mounted to the support bell (2) and to the pressure piece (20) for the pressing-out operation. To make it possible to carry out the pressing-out operation simply and reliably, provisions are made for arranging a clamping plate (12), which can be detachably connected to the support bell (2) and via which the support bell (2) is held at the bearing eye (24) in a firmly seated manner, at the bearing eye (12) axially opposite the support bell (2).

  • Patent number: 7007529
Abstract: A press forming machine having a slide plate which reciprocates by driving sources between a lower support stand and an upper support plate and has a forming space between the lower support stand and the slide plate. In the press forming machine, a reference plate for a displacement reference for the slide plate is supported on the lower support stand. The driving sources are engaged with the slide plate by the drive shafts of the driving sources to drive and press the slide plate. The drive shaft is provided with a through hole axially extending in a shaft center thereof, and displacement measuring devices each for each of the drive shafts measures the displacement of the slide plate portion corresponding to the through hole with respect to the reference plate, through the through hole. As a result, the displacements at the pressurized points on the slide plate can be measured.

  • Patent number: 7002951
Abstract: A network system and method use a distributed network and a network processor connected to the network. System data storage is provided connected to the processor. Administrator data packets including contact telephone data and voice packets are sent by the processor when the network processor receives alert data including one or more of status data, fault data and error data. The administrator data packets include voice data sent as voice packets. The system is advantageously used with a telephone line network interface connected to a public telephone line and connected to the network. The voice packets may be converted to analogue voice signals at the telephone line network interface for the call or the data may be sent to a remote device and converted to analogue at the remote device (or a device connected to the remote device). The system may also be used with network telephones. Each network telephone is connected to the network and sends packets to and receives packets from the network.

  • Patent number: 7001076
Abstract: A housing for receiving a bearing component is presented, which has a shaft projection, which can be inserted into the recess of the end area of a hollow section and can be pressed together with the end area, wherein the shaft projection is provided with a groove profile, in which the groove profile is prepared by a deformation process or an original shaping process. Notch effect and consequently a weakening of the cross section on the highly stressed shaft projection is avoided by the said processes. The present invention pertains, moreover, to such a groove profile located at a shaft projection of a housing.

  • Patent number: 7003218
Abstract: An incubator hood for an incubator for premature and newborn babies as well as to a process for regulating the temperature of an incubator hood are provided. The problem frequently occurring in incubator hoods is that the incubator hoods lead to heat losses at the premature and newborn babies and that water of condensation precipitates on the inside of the incubator in such incubator hoods, and this water of condensation obstructs the view and facilitates the growth of microorganisms in the incubator. This can be counteracted by a heated incubator hood. The comparatively complicated regulation processes, which requires the installation of temperature sensors in the incubator hood is avoided by the use of interior heating wires (1) in which temperature-dependent electric resistors (3), preferably PTC resistors with a nominal response temperature of about 37° C., are arranged.

  • Patent number: 7000792
Abstract: A self-opening mechanism for a cap is capable of maintaining a restoring force of an elastic member and easily and tightly locking the cap and also releasing the locking. The mechanism has an elastic member (4) that is attached to an inner side of a hinge (3), and also a stopper block (7) is provided in a direction in which the elastic member (4) deforms so that the elastic member (4) deforms to an S-shaped form. Engagement pieces (10, 10a) in the cap (2) side are inserted into and fixed between hooks (16, 16a) of a push piece (18) and a protruding engagement pieces (15, 15a) to lock the cap more tightly. As the hook (16, 16a) moves upward and moves away from the protruding engagement pieces (15, 15a) when the push piece (18) is pressed, the engagement pieces (10, 10a) are released and a cover (2) automatically opens due to the restoring force of the elastic member (4).

  • Patent number: 6489937
Abstract: An LED matrix control system using a plurality of FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Array) in between a CPU and a LED matrix. One FPGA controls a first set of LED's and a second FPGA controls a second set of LED's. The first FPGA controls all of the column lines of an LED matrix, and controls a sub set of the row lines of the LED matrix. The second FPGA also controls all of the column lines and controls another sub set of the row lines. Each FPGA receives the same information from the CPU. Each FPGA also has a config line. The config line of one FPGA is connected to a logical zero, and the config line of the other FPGA is connected to a logical one. Each FPGA only enables or energizes one row at a time. The rows are energized on and off so quickly, that the human persistence of vision causes the appearance of the energized LED's to always appear lit.
