Patent number: 8316612Abstract: An apparatus and method for constructing pre-insulated structural panels is disclosed that has a tongue and groove assembly arrangement. Each panel may include one or more c-channels or profiles embedded in expandable polystyrene (EPS) foam to provide structural integrity to the panels, and resulting wall. The panels may be covered with siding, stucco, or similar materials. A chase may be formed horizontally in the panels to provide a wiring conduit through the panel. The panel may also provide when assembled, a vertical chase formed between the mated panels along the length of the panel for wiring. Acoustical properties may be formed in the surface of the EPS portions to provided added acoustical damping measures.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2009Date of Patent: November 27, 2012Assignee: Radva CorporationInventor: Luther I. Patent number: 8096222Abstract: The present invention relates to a silencer for reducing muzzle blast and noise of firearms or similar devices. The present silencer has a hollow cylindrical or other shape casing comprising front and rear end caps and an opening aligned along a longitudinal axis defining a passage for a projectile and propellant gases to emerge from the muzzle opening. A plurality of serially placed baffles of symmetrical or slanted orientation and intervening coaxial spacers are positioned within the casing and define a multitude of chambers among the baffles, spacers, and outer housing. The baffles shear propellant gases away from the projectile path and through openings or ports into additional chambers formed between the spacers and outer housing. The arrangement of baffles and spacers provides flow-impeding paths, dispersion, and controlled expansion of gases and lowers gas temperature to reduce audible noise and observable signature of the muzzle blast.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2011Date of Patent: January 17, 2012Assignee: Advanced Armament Corp., LLC.Inventor: Robert Silvers

Patent number: 8068386Abstract: A Golf Round Pace Regulator timing device is shown and described. The invention, with a custom course specific face decal, illustrates the time allocated to each hole on the golf course to help golfers maintain a steady pace of play to complete the course in the time allotted by the golf course management. The golfer(s) are responsible for maintaining the same pace on the course as the pace of the invention's moving clock hand across the easy to read face decal. The invention solves the problem of slow play and decreased course revenue due to slow play. The invention solves the expensive customization manufacturing problem since it may be mass produced, and after manufacturing the customized course decal may be created and applied. The Invention is easy to implement and use on any golf course.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2008Date of Patent: November 29, 2011Inventor: Ellen Mosher

Patent number: 8047144Abstract: A multi-step process is provided in which waste material is processed in two or more steps. Specifically, an earlier step of the process heats the waste material at a first temperature. This results in a release of vapors for materials having a boiling point that is lower than the first temperature. A subsequent step of the process heats some or all of the remaining waste material at a second temperature, which is preferably higher than the first temperature. The subsequent heating results in a release of additional vapors for those materials having a boiling point that is lower than the second temperature. A system configured to carry out the process is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2008Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignee: Rineco Chemical Industries, Inc.Inventors: John P. Whitney, Carl Wikstrom

Patent number: 7974099Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed that may include one or more printed circuit boards (PCBs) and an electronics package may be disposed about the first surface of one or more of the PCBs. The PCBs may include a metal layer and a core, and, in some aspects, may include multiple cores interposed between multiple metal layers, and in some embodiments a backplane may be disposed along the core(s). A plurality of PCB's may be set apart and connected by pins to dissipate heat from one PCB to another, and/or to convey electrical connectivity. Pins may be configured to pass through or into one or both the PCBs including the cores to conduct heat generated by the electronics package away for dispersion. In some embodiments, the pins may pass into the backplane. The apparatus may include LEDs, lights, computer devices, memories, telecommunications devices, or combinations of these.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2008Date of Patent: July 5, 2011Assignee: Nexxus Lighting, Inc.Inventor: Zdenko Grajcar

Patent number: 7938113Abstract: An inline vaporizer disposed in a carrier gas line vaporizes a fluid and adds such vaporized fluid to a carrier gas that flows within the carrier gas line. The vaporizer includes a reservoir or wick that transfers a fluid to a vaporizing element that is adjacent to the reservoir or wick. The vaporizer releases a vapor into the carrier gas line so that the carrier gas flows past the vaporizer to form a vapor and carrier gas mixture.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2006Date of Patent: May 10, 2011Assignee: Hydrate, Inc.Inventors: Lawrence Alan Weinstein, Norman Hugh Tiffin, Tuan Quoc Tran, Drew E.
