Abstract: A low-temperature process of producing high-purity iron powder by feeding hematite and a reducing agent into a rotary reactor under pressure to form a mechanical fluid bed. The fluid bed is rotated at a particular speed within a rotary reactor. The fluid bed is simultaneously heated to a reaction temperature, and the pressure is then reduced within the rotary reactor to a pressure in a range of 0.01 bars to 2.0 bars, as a result reducing the reaction temperature to a temperature in a range of 600° C. to 850° C. Maintaining the pressure and the rotation results in the formation of a high-purity iron oxide without the requirement for post-grinding process steps because sintering is prevented by using a combination of pressure reduction and a rotary set at an optimum rotation speed, resulting in useful additives produced by a more environmentally-friendly process.

Abstract: Provided is a system and method for building and managing a customized voice of an end-user, comprising the steps of designing a set of prompts for collection from the user, wherein the prompts are selected from both an analysis tool and by the user's own choosing to capture voice characteristics unique to the user. The prompts are delivered to the user over a network to allow the user to save a user recording on a server of a service provider. This recording is then retrieved and stored on the server and then set up on the server to build a voice database using text-to-speech synthesis tools. A graphical interface allows the user to continuously refine the data file to improve the voice and customize parameter and configuration settings, thereby forming a customized voice database which can be deployed or accessed.

Abstract: A “quick” receptacle system comprising a rough housing and duplex insert capable of being installed in minimal steps without multiple screws. Multiple top wire quick connects span a width of the rough housing attached to the rear, with each top wire quick connect further comprising a top stud hole defined therein open to the front and an interior means for conductively engaging wire conductors within the junction box. A conducting plate in contact with the interior means conductively connects each the top wire quick connects to a bottom-residing conductor point. Finally, a duplex insert having a duplex body is sized to be accommodated within the housing body of the rough housing multiple conducting studs projecting from a duplex rear of the duplex body, each conducting studs adapted to align and respectively seat within each the top stud hole of the rough housing.

Abstract: Provided is an internal structural mullion for a standing seam panel system. A two-piece assembly includes a man extrusion having one hooked portion and a secondary extrusion having an opposing hooked portion. A cavity is defined on the main extrusion, and the secondary extrusion includes a foot wherein upon insertion of the foot into the cavity, the foot forms a fulcrum about which the secondary extrusion can bend away from the main extrusion and be tightened or loosened by the tightening or loosing of a screw, as a result forming a clamp for engaging panels of the panel system with variable pressure. Further, when clamped a continuous gasket seal occurs at a level just inside the panels so as to form a barrier against the intrusion of water.

Abstract: A layered panel and framing system for use as a skylight or wall, formed from extrusions which capture and frame variable panels. An upper extrusion has an upper hole defined therein. An upper spacer has an upper spacer hole defined therein in alignment with the upper hole of the upper extrusion. An intermediate extrusion then has an intermediate hole defined therein offset from the upper holes and the upper spacer hole. A lower spacer has a lower spacer hole defined therein in alignment with the intermediate hole. A base extrusion is formed at the top of a rafter. A bottom plastic panel is captured between the intermediate extrusion and the base extrusion, and a top glass panel is captured between the intermediate extrusion and the upper extrusion, wherein the bottom panel and the top panel are spaced a distance substantially equal to a height of the intermediate extrusion.

Abstract: Disclosed is a mouth guard or mouth piece holder having a pair of mounts each mount having a generally concave back surface and a flat front surface and configured to be fixed to an exterior surface of a helmet with the back surface conforming to and abutting the exterior surface of the helmet. A face plate is attached to the mounts to define a pocket. A support base is medially located within the pocket formed integral to the bottom edge of the face plate to partially fill the pocket. Thus, the pocket with the base is adapted to accommodate the mouth guard such that the mouth guard can be maintained proximate to the exterior surface of the helmet above the facemask during temporary periods of non-use.

Abstract: A golf swing training aid to assist golfers with multiple skills required in the game of golf and assist the golfer in creating a repeatable impact position with all golf shots. A short portion and a parallel long portion both connect to a rear portion and define a channel. The short portion is shorter than the long portion to form a J-shaped mat. A golf ball is placed between the two portions at designated markers depending on the type of golf iron used, and the size of the divot resulting from impact can be estimated using the one or more other markers along the short and long portion to help evaluate the swing and direction of the golf club as a result of the size and direction of the divot.

Abstract: A safety system for a motor vehicle which prohibits the sudden acceleration of the vehicle as a result of hydraulic brake pressure. The throttle-control system of the vehicle is bypassed by providing an ignition switch connecting a starter to a battery, the battery providing voltage for an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle. A brake pressure switch is connected to the ignition switch and to a brake master cylinder for receiving brake fluid under hydraulic pressure upon actuation of a brake pedal. An ignition coil means transforms and increases the voltage for the engine. Finally, a limiter set at a specific revolutions per minute (RPM) to limit output of the engine is connected to the brake pressure switch and to the ignition coil, the limiter reacting to the voltage when the brake pressure switch is closed by the hydraulic pressure from the brake pedal.

Abstract: A process for neutralizing acid mine drainage which includes a neutralizer and binder component consisting of steel slag in an amount of 75% to 95% by weight of the agglomeration, a sodium carbonate selected from the group consisting of soda ash and pulp liquor in an amount of 0.5% to 25% of the agglomeration, and, optionally, a lime component selected from the group consisting of limestone sand and slag. Further included is a dissolution control and filtration component consisting of an organic material in an amount of 0.24% to 15% by weight of the agglomeration selected from the group consisting of recycled newsprint, sphagnum peat moss, and sawdust. Next is a dispersant and neutralizer component consisting of a surfactant in an amount of 0.01% to 0.075% by weight of the agglomeration. The agglomeration may further comprise an oxidation component such as calcium peroxide, potassium permanganate, and hydrogen peroxide.

Abstract: A furniture swivel of the thrust bearing type is taught herein having a top plate and bottom plate made entirely of an internally-lubricated polymer. A central top hole surface projects upwardly and integrally from the top plate, and a central top annular surface projects upwardly and integrally from the same plate wherein two flat, raised annular surfaces are integrally defined on the top inside surface of the top plate made of the polymer. The bottom plate is substantially similar to the top plate made entirely of the polymer and has a raised central bottom hole surface in face-to-face relation with the central top hole surface and a raised bottom annular surface in face-to-face relation with the top annular surface, wherein load support and low-friction rotation is maintained without overlain metal components.

Abstract: The present invention comprehends a forklift attachment, generally comprising a pair of forks rotatably mounted to a fork plate using a pair of pivot pins with each pivot pin having a center axis normal to the fork plate. Upper bore pins and lower bore pins are adapted to travel within bores of the fork plate. As such, actuators connected to the upper bore pin rotate the forks about the center axis such that the forks can apply opposing lateral compression forces to a flexible dumpster. In a method for collecting waste, a disposer places the flexible dumpster near the waste disposal site whereby a truck-mounted forklift can be utilized to engage the forks with the side portions of the flexible dumpster for loading and disposal. Accordingly, large dumpsters do not have to dropped off at the waste disposal site and large trucks no longer have to be utilized.

Abstract: A clip assembly secures standing seam skylight or roofing panels to substrates and allows for a full range of movements by the panels while eliminating or reducing frictional noises. The clip assembly may also be used with wall panel systems. The clip assembly includes a first clip member and a second clip member each having an upright member and an upper flange member and a lower flange member extending therefrom. The assembly further includes a gap formed between the upright member of the first clip member and the upright member of the second clip member. In one aspect the clip assembly includes a base which allows the assembly to slide.

Abstract: A truck bed accessory for accommodating weights and stored articles. At least one panel is adapted to be situated between the wheel wells of the truck and over the rear axle of the truck. A receptacle is defined within the interior of the main panel over the rear axle. A weight holder for disposition in the receptacle includes a plurality of weight receiver bins adapted to secure weights therein so that the weight over the rear axle can be varied to increase traction. When the weight holder is not in use, the accessory can store other articles for covered transport.
