  • Patent number: 4912872
Abstract: The animal trap of the present invention includes a housing having a top wall, a bottom wall, a closed rear end, and a door opening at the forward end. A door is hinged at the upper edge of the door opening and is adapted to swing downwardly by gravity from an open position to a latched position. A trip treadle is located near the rear end of the trap and is connected by a rod to the door. When the animal depresses the trip treadle, the rod releases the door so the door can fall from its open to its closed position. A latch mechanism is connected with the door which causes the door to automatically latch and be held in its closed position whenever the door falls by gravity from its open to its closed position. The latch may be opened without exposing the operator's hand to the vicinity of the cage, thereby making it safer to release the animal.

  • Patent number: 4641114
Abstract: The thick film delay line of the present invention comprises a substrate having a plurality of conductive pads mounted along the edge thereof. A plurality of delay circuit assemblies are stacked on the upper surface of the substrate. Each delay circuit comprises a solid sheet of conductive material, a first layer of dielectric material superimposed over the solid conductor sheet, a spiral coil conductor having its opposite ends connected to two separate contact pads, and a second sheet of dielectric material covering the spiral conductor. The spiral conductors within each of the delay circuit assemblies are connected to one another in series.

  • Patent number: 4639879
Abstract: While characters are being displayed on a graphic display device according to commands from a computer, the light emitting intensity of a desired pixel is controlled by outputting only commands related to the light emitting intensity control from said computer. This is done by providing, associated with the graphic display device, for memorizing a group of numerical values corresponding to desired changes of light emitting intensity of a desired pixel belonging to a character or a graphic display displayed on the graphic display device, or by providing for obtaining numerical values corrsponding to the light emitting intensity changes. A device for practicing this method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4541229
Abstract: The present invention comprises a control system for automatically controlling the height of a header on a combine. The combine header includes a cutter bar which is adapted to float upwardly and downwardly in response to variations in the terrain. A linkage interconnects the cutter bar with a movable cam and a microswitch so that the microswitch is actuated in response to upward and downward movement of the cutter bar. The microswitch is connected to solenoids within a hydraulic valve and the hydraulic valve is connected in the hydraulic system with the hydraulic cylinder for raising and lowering the header. When the cutter bar lifts upwardly the microswitches are moved to a condition wherein they cause the valve to actuate the hydraulic cylinder for lifting the header. Similarly when the cutter bar moves downwardly the hydraulic cylinder is actuated to lower the header. When the cutter bar is in a neutral position, the hydraulic cylinder remains motionless.
