  • Patent number: 7781717
Abstract: A system and method for manipulating real-time video playback time-synchronized with millimeter wave imagery is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, millimeter wave imagery and visible spectrum video images are combined to form composite images in real-time to detect concealed objects on a person. A graphical user interface (GUI) manipulates the displayed millimeter wave imagery, video images and composite images and controls displaying user selected portions of the synchronized recorded images. The composite images are automatically encoded with event data when a concealed object is detected and an alert is generated, or that information is accessed from a datafile or database structure. The GUI controls the playback and viewing of those composite images having encoded event data.

  • Patent number: 7731830
Abstract: An electroformed tool has an integrated base with channels contacting the tool with heat exchange fluids flowing through the channels during molding or embossing. A blank base is machined with a network of interconnected open channels on a top surface and end flow through passageways communicating with the channels. The tool is used as an electrode to erode the top surface of the blank base using plunge electro discharge machining by lowering the uneven deposit on the bottom of the electroformed tool down onto the top surface of the blank base in the electro discharge machining environment to form a top contoured surface to mate with the uneven deposit on the non-molding side of the substrate. Thermal management fluid channels are thereby conformal to the mold cavity. The tool and base are sealed together.

  • Patent number: 7663130
Abstract: A system and method of determining fluid levels in containers is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, a first value of infrared energy associated with an empty portion of a container is detected and the container is scanned to detect a second value of infrared energy that is different from the first value of infrared energy. The method also includes to store an upper limit value associated with a vertical location of an upper surface of a fluid level when the second value of infrared energy is detected and to scan the container to detect a third value of infrared energy that is different from the second value of infrared energy. In addition, a lower limit value associated with a vertical location of a lower surface of the fluid relative to the upper surface is stored when the third value of infrared energy is detected. A height of the fluid is determined using a difference between the upper limit value and the lower limit value.

  • Patent number: 7628662
Abstract: A motorized push pole device having a standard mounted to a raised poling platform on a boat. A housing is mounted to the standard wherein the housing is adapted to removably clamp around a push pole. A drive wheel is mounted under the housing, wherein a periphery of the drive wheel is in contact with the push pole and adapted to rotate in a first direction causing push pole to move in an extendable motion and the drive wheel adapted to rotate in an opposing second direction causing push pole to move in a retractable motion. An electrical switch is connected to a motor for controlling operation of the motor for rotating the drive wheel. The motor includes a rotating motor shaft terminating in a worm gear. The drive wheel further comprising a cog wheel for engaging the worm gear of the motor.

  • Patent number: 7617640
Abstract: An insulated concrete form system having a pair of bottom U-shaped channels secured to a concrete slab that serve as a footprint for a concrete wall. Exterior and interior foam sheets are aligned within the bottom U-shaped channels that define the wall. Top U-shaped channels are slipped over a top edge of the foam sheets. A plurality of strongbacks are used to provide structural support for the foam sheets during a concrete pour of the wall. The strongbacks each have a pair of hangers adapted to be secured over the top U-shaped channels to secure the strongbacks to the foam sheets. A top wall spacer is used to join a strongback on one side of the wall cavity to a strongback on a second side of the cavity to resist pressure exerted outward on the foam sheets during a concrete pour to form the wall.

  • Patent number: 7601958
Abstract: The present invention is a broadband energy illuminator for creating contrast between the broadband energy emanating from a scene and an individual within the scene. A millimeter wave camera is focused toward the individual to detect millimeter wave frequencies reflected from the scene. As an individual passes through scene the millimeter wave camera detects concealed objects by identifying differences in the millimeter wave energy reflected by the individual's body and a concealed object. The broadband energy illuminator focuses a cold source of broadband energy on the scene thereby enhancing the ability of the millimeter wave camera to distinguish the individual's body from concealed objects. A composite image is generated by a central processing unit and displayed on a monitor showing the concealed object on the individual through optical contrast.

  • Patent number: 7587855
Abstract: The fishing lure case has a first half and a matching second half that form a cylindrical housing when in a closed position. A hinge is disposed on a lower edge of the case that serves to connect parallel longitudinal edges of the first half and the second half about which the case can be opened. A first arcuate flange extends from the first end of the first half and a matching second arcuate flange extends from the first end of the second half. Therefore, as the first half and the second half of the case are rotated about the hinge, the arcuate flanges encircle the fishing line so that the fishing line is secured and protected within the aperture. A plurality of ventilation apertures are disposed about the fishing lure case to allow air to circulate within the case and water to drain out.

  • Patent number: 7587846
Abstract: A mailbox cover comprising a flexible sheet having a composite of a plurality of layers. The layers having a first layer decorated with graphics and an underlying second layer magnetically polarized in a first direction so that the second layer is magnetically attracted to a metal mailbox. The plurality of layers further comprising an underlying third layer magnetically polarized in an opposing second direction to the second magnetically polarized layer so that the third layer is magnetically attracted to a metal mailbox. An underlying fourth layer is decorated with graphics. The sheet further comprising a perforated cuts parallel to preselected edges of the sheet so that the perforated cuts allow strips of the sheet to be removed to reduce the length and width of the sheet to adapt to different sizes of mailboxes.
