Abstract: The invention relates to a dentition retaining apparatus that includes a joint between a holding member and a supporting member. The holding member is elastically deformable and terminates in an end segment having a length with an outer diameter. The joint includes a coil extending from the supporting member and having an inner diameter that is less than the outer diameter of the end segment of the holding member. The coil is placed around at least a portion of the end segment of the holding member. The coil compresses the end segment of the holding member.
Abstract: The armour repair patch uses a simplified adhesive system for securement of the repair patch in the field without specialized equipment. A preferred adhesive system includes a pressure sensitive adhesive provided on a back surface of a body member and a fabric overlay cover is and extending beyond the body member. This combination provides an effective system for battlefield repair.
Abstract: A boiler furnace avoids NOx and increases thermal efficiency with a small boiler. The boiler furnace has a outer water walls and inner water walls. All of the water walls contain water which absorb heat from the flame and cool the water tube which act as a container, passage, evaporator of water and water walls with membrane that connect water tubes to each other. The spaces between outer water walls and inner water walls makes a cylindrical space which contain fires and avoids making a fire that produces nitrogen oxides due to high temperature induced from a concentrated flame.
Abstract: A device for roasting fowl includes a base pan shaped to have a first supporting surface and a second supporting surface; an insert extending vertically from the first support surface of the base pan for mounting the fowl; wherein the first supporting surface of the base pan rests in a cooking apparatus to allow for roasting of the fowl in a vertical manner, and the second supporting surface of the base pan rests in the cooking apparatus to allow for roasting of the fowl in a horizontal manner.
Abstract: A pit platform (10) within a pit (11) located in a floor, having a deck (12) that can be raised and lowered by a lifting means (14) between a raised position in which the deck is substantially level with the floor and a second position in which the deck is beneath the level of the floor. The deck is supported by a plurality of cables (18) controlled by the lifting means to effect substantially vertical movement of the deck within the pit. A method of moving the deck between the raised and second positions is also described. The pit platform has particular application to a workshop, enabling workers standing on the platform to position themselves at a comfortable height below a vehicle that is being worked upon. In the raised position the platform provides a safety cover for the pit.

The particulate composition can be made by a method that comprises the steps of providing a lactase, providing a protective material, and forming a particulate composition comprising a plurality of particles comprising the lactase and the protective material in a size that is not perceptible or barely perceptible on the human tongue. The particulate composition can be used by applying the lactase composition to a food article or by using the lactase composition in the course of consuming the food article.

Abstract: A gripper mechanism for machines, robots and manipulation devices, comprising at least one moving gripping finger, driven by a driveshaft of multiple parts, a crank, belt or gear shaft, wherein the centering of the parts relative to each other and the transmission of the torque from a driving part to the next part, up to the gripping finger, is achieved by means of axial toothing, preferably a pinion gearing with pins and drillings. The driveshaft is preferably provided with a carrying support bearing. As a result of the splitting of the driveshaft, it is possible to cast the housing in one piece with two cavities for housing the operating unit and the transmission. The gripping finger or the lever driving the gripping finger are externally fixed to the driveshaft in an axial manner.
