  • Patent number: 8186138
Abstract: A windrow merger including three pickup and transfer units, a folding system, and a plurality of float mechanisms. The folding system employs simultaneous rearward, outward, and upward folding motion so as to ensure none of the units interfere with the other units while folding, and likewise while unfolding. The folding system can further fold and unfold each of the three pickup and transfer units at the same time. During merging operations, the plurality of float mechanisms of the windrow merger limits the range of motion of each pickup and transfer unit. The float mechanisms further transfer a portion of the weight of each pickup and transfer unit from the ground to the frame of the merger. The units of the windrow merger can also include a rub rail having a surface that reduces swirling or clumping of material as the material is conveyed toward an end of the windrow merger.

  • Patent number: 6795389
Abstract: An optical information recording medium is provided with a plurality of information layers (2, 3), each of which has a sector structure in which a data area (8, 12) is divided in the circumferential direction by a sector address (9, 13). The positions of the sector addresses (9, 13) of the respective information layers (2, 3) coincide in the circumferential direction. This can prevent errors during reproduction caused by the effect of other information layers and stabilize recording characteristics, resulting in an increased recording capacity of a rewritable recording medium having a plurality of information layers with a sector structure.

  • Patent number: 6283191
Abstract: A motorized window blind includes a mounting frame stretched in a longitudinal direction, a blind screen including a mounted end mounted on the mounting frame, a liftable end opposite to the mounted end in a transverse direction relative to the longitudinal direction, and a flexible intermediate portion interposed therebetween. A motor has an output shaft and is mounted in the vicinity of the mounting frame so as to drive a drive transmitting member to move a distal end of the drive transmitting member in the transverse direction between retracted and extended positions where the distal end is proximate and distal to the mounting frame, respectively. A plurality of tubes are telescopically fitted to each other, and extend in the transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 6059641
Abstract: A grit tank (1), the inside of which is partitioned into an upper chamber (2), intermediate chamber and lower chamber (5), the intermediate chamber being partitioned into a left intermediate chamber (3) and a right intermediate chamber (4), is connected to a transport pipe (16) via a discharge port (9) of the lower chamber (5). The intermediate chambers (3, 4) are respectively communicated with the upper chamber (2) and the lower chamber (5) via a left upper communicating port (6) and a right upper communicating port (10) and also via a left lower communicating port (8) and a right lower communicating port (12). The communicating ports are respectively provided with a left filling valve (7), right filling valve (11) and changeover type feed valve (13).

  • Patent number: 5964341
Abstract: A key switch assembly includes a base board having a spaced pair of upwardly projecting slide retainer plates, a spaced pair of upwardly projecting pivot retainer plates, and a stop projection. A membrane circuit layer and an insulating layer are superimposed on the base board, and are formed with aligned openings to permit extension of the slide retainer plates, the pivot retainer plates and the stop projection therethrough. The insulating layer is made of a first material, and is formed with a through hole surrounded by the openings. An upright hollow biasing member, made of a second material different from the first material, is disposed on the insulating layer, and has a bottom end fixed to a periphery of the through hole in the insulating layer. The first material is less resilient and less susceptible to deformation than the second material.

  • Patent number: 5815984
Abstract: A casement window operator includes a linkage with an extensible arm pivotally connecting to a driven arm mounting to the window frame. An extended end of the driven arm pivotally connects to a link mounting to the sash bracket on the pivoting sash. The extensible arm includes a screw drive member connected to a friction bearing of a cover. Rotation of the screw extends and retracts the cover to lengthen and shorten the extensible arm. The operator includes an actuator with a handle mounted to a first bevel gear intermeshing with a second bevel gear. The bevel gears are mounted in a housing which pivotally rotates as the linkage is actuated. The second bevel gear is coupled to the screw member of the extensible arm.
