A given object may be stored once, even if it has a recurrent time property. The description of a “meeting,” for example, may be stored once. If it is a recurring property, recurrence information may be stored independently. “Exception” information may be stored independently as well.

Upon entry of a configuration selection, a query is executed to retrieve data to be displayed by the interactive chart.

Abstract: A first digital image is acquired of a framed area while illuminating the background and foreground object under a first lighting condition. A second digital image is then acquired of the same framed area while illuminating the background and foreground object under a second lighting condition. Preferably, the first lighting condition illuminates the background without illuminating the foreground object so that a silhouette of the foreground object is acquired in the first image. The second lighting condition illuminates the foreground object (e.g., with frontal lights). Due to the difference in the illumination between the background and silhouette in the first image, an alpha mask can be created from the first acquired image. Using the mask, the background from the second image can be removed and replaced by virtually any other desired background image.

Abstract: A tropical composition is provided. The topical composition can be prepared by diluting a topical composition precursor with water and adding additional components, if desired. The topical composition precursor can be prepared by melt processing a hydrophobic polymer composition that includes repeating pyrrolidone/alkylene groups wherein the alkylene groups contain at least 10 carbon atoms, and a hydrophilic polymer composition including repeating carboxylic groups and/or repeating hydroxyl groups. A topical composition precursor and methods for manufacturing and using a topical composition are provided by the invention.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the fields of microbiology and vaccine technology, and concerns the development of a vaccine capable of conferring immunity to group B Streptococcus infections. More particularly, the present invention relates to a novel fusion protein, comprising N-terminal region fragments of group B Streptococcus surface proteins, which confers immunity to invasive strains of the group B Streptococcus. It further pertains to an isolated nucleotide sequence encoding said fusion protein; a vector; a host cell; a vaccine; and a method for preventing or treating a group B Streptococcus infection.

The remote server includes a back end module that manages the installation and operation of application software hosted the remote server. The configuration database includes topology information that has descriptions of the server computers that can host application software. The content database includes information on the content of the software applications to be hosted on a server computer.

Furthermore, the internal combustion engine is operated with sub-optimum ignition angle efficiency and an apportionment of a fuel quantity, which is to be injected before the start of a combustion, into at least two partial injections. A torque loss which results from the sub-optimum ignition angle efficiency and/or from the apportionment of the fuel to be injected is compensated by means of an increased charge of the combustion chambers. The fuel quantity and the charge are coordinated with one another in such a way that the air ratio lambda of the combustion chamber charges is greater than 1.

Abstract: A porous solid acid catalyst having high concentration of acidic sites and a large surface area includes a porous silica support and a sulfonated carbon layer disposed within the pores of the silica support. The catalyst, in certain embodiments, has a concentration of —SO3H groups of at least about 0.5 mmol/g and a predominant pore size of at least about 300 ?. The catalyst is used to catalyze a variety of acid-catalyzed reactions, including but not limited to alkylation, acylation, etherification, olefin hydration and alcohol dehydration, dimerization of olefin and bicyclic compounds, esterification and transesterification. For example, the catalyst can be used to catalyze esterification of free fatty acids (FFAs) and, in certain embodiments, to catalyze transesterification of triglycerides in fats and oils.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an improved rotor of a centrifugal compressor. The rotor includes a blade arrangement and geometry that increase the overall efficiency of the rotor. In particular, blades within the rotor are curved and inclined in a manner that improves the overall efficiency of the rotor. The present disclosure also provides a method of manufacturing the improved rotor.
