Abstract: A drinking vessel with a thumb operated electric mixer has a top lip and a bottom. The vessel is sized so that it is capable of handling with one hand in the same fashion as a beverage glass or cup. The vessel may include a handle member that extends beneath the bottom of the beverage container at least a distance equal to the outer diameter of the container. The handle member includes an outwardly extending handle that has a push button switch electrically connected to a power source and motor for driving a mixing propeller located in the container. A liquid-tight compartment at the bottom of the vessel houses the power source and motor. The beverage container and propeller are removable as a single unit from the handle member and liquid-tight compartment so that they may be thoroughly cleaned and the integrity of the electrical parts maintained.
Abstract: A device and method for increasing the rate of the firing cycle of a semi-automatic firearm includes a base that is adapted to support any one of a variety of semi-automatic firearms. The base includes a trigger extension with a grip, a slide mount, and a slide housed within the slide mount. At least the receiver, barrel, and trigger assembly of the firearm are secured to the base so that they may move as a single unit upon the base between a rearward position upon discharge of the firearm and a forward position. A biasing means continuously biases the receiver, barrel, and trigger assembly upon the base toward the forward position to effect successive discharges of the firearm.
Abstract: A system for automatically purging residual water from the whirlpool plumbing of a whirlpool bath. The system includes a bathtub, a primary water inlet in hydraulic communication with the bathtub, a primary water outlet in hydraulic communication with the bathtub, a plunger actuatable to engage the primary water outlet to prevent water flow through the primary water outlet. When the bathtub is filled with water the plunger is automatically disengaged for a predetermined length of time to flush the water manifold, the water manifold conduit, the at least one water delivery conduit and the at least one jet nozzle. Also, when the bathtub is substantially drained, the air pump may be actuated to introduce air into the at least one jet nozzle, the at least one suction fitting, the water manifold, the at least one water delivery conduit, and the at least one hydraulic suction conduit to purge residual water therefrom.
Abstract: A needle receptacle is provided for use with needle assemblies typically used in blood banks. The needle assemblies of the type concerned here have a needle mount with a forward end and a rearward end, a needle extending from the forward end of the needle mount and a flexible tube extending from the rearward end of the needle mount that connects the needle assembly in fluid-flow connection with a blood collection bag. The needle receptacle has an elongated hollow body with a front end and a rear end. The front end is open and sufficiently sized to permit the needle mount to pass axially through it. The rear end has a bore formed in it. The bore is sufficiently sized to permit the tube to pass axially through it, but too small to permit passage of the needle mount. There is also an opening formed in the body between the front end and the rear end for receiving the needle mount and the needle so that the hollow body can be slidably mounted onto the needle assembly.
Abstract: A child's bath seat having a base, a top shelf portion with a generally triangular aperture formed therein, a plurality of support members extending between the base and the top shelf portion. The base portion is sufficiently larger than the top shelf portion to provide added stability and discourage toppling. In addition, a plurality of clips may be connected to at least some of the respective support members. The clips extend partially over the base and exert a clamping force thereon. The clamping force urges any object positioned therebetween, such as a washrag, toward the base.
