In some embodiments, at least four collecting tubes define coolant collection chambers, whereby coolant follows at least one outgoing route lying between first and the second collection tubes, and at least one return route proceeding in an opposite direction lying between third and fourth collecting tubes. The outgoing route can be provided in at least one flat tube-corrugated rib series, while the return route can be provided in at least another flat tube-corrugated rib series, arranged downstream of the first flat tube-corrugated rib series.

A rotor can be located within the container, and can be driven by the stator located on an opposite side of the barrier. In some embodiments, the rotor is free from mechanical connection to the stator, which can be controlled to generate a magnetic field driving the rotor within the container. A processing unit (e.g., one or more blades, whisks, brushes, or other elements) can extend from the rotor and be rotatable by rotation of the rotor. Accordingly, any number of different material processing devices can be driven by the rotor and stator when the rotor is brought into magnetic communication with the stator.

A first signal is obtained relating to the stress in the member produced by a first loading event or series of events, typically from the firings of a cylinder in an internal combustion engine. A second signal is obtained which relates to the stress in the member produced by a second loading event or series of events from the same or other cylinder in which the torque/load was intentionally inhibited. The first and second signals are then compared to detect degradation in output of the engine.
