  • Patent number: 8343058
Abstract: An apparatus for determining a patient's circulatory fill status is adapted to provide a dilution curve and is capable to derive the ratio between the patient's global end-diastolic volume GEDV and the patient's intra thoracic thermo volume ITTV from the dilution curve. Further, a computer program for determining a patient's circulatory fill status has instructions adapted to carry out the steps of generating the dilution curve on basis of provided measurement data of dilution versus time, deriving the ratio between the patient's global end-diastolic volume GEDV and the patient's intra thoracic thermo volume ITTV from the dilution curve, and determining the patient's circulatory fill status on basis of the ratio between the patient's global end-diastolic volume GEDV and the patient's intra thoracic thermo volume ITTV, when the computer program is run on a computer. A method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8105961
Abstract: A method of creating a sensor that may include applying a first conductive material on a first portion of a substrate to form a reference electrode and depositing a first mask over the substrate, the first mask having an opening that exposes the reference electrode and a second portion of the substrate. The method may also include depositing a second conductive material into the opening in the first mask, the second conductive material being in direct contact with the reference electrode and depositing a second mask over the second conductive material, the second mask having an opening over the second portion of the substrate, the opening exposing a portion of the second conductive material which forms a working surface to receive a fluid of interest.

  • Patent number: 8065796
Abstract: A method of creating an active electrode that may include providing a flex circuit having an electrode made of a first material and providing a first mask over the flex circuit, the first mask having an offset region and an opening that exposes the electrode. The method may also include depositing a second material over the offset region and the opening, the second material being different from the first material and providing a second mask over the second material, the second mask having an opening over a portion of the second material that is over the offset region.

  • Patent number: 7963950
Abstract: A blood sampling device for allowing a fluid pressure measurement and a fluid sample to be taken from a patient, having an inlet port configured to receive blood from the patient, an outlet port configured to be coupled to a monitoring channel having an infusion fluid, a sampling port configured for extraction of blood from the patient, a sampling channel configured to self-flush, after extraction, the blood with the infusion fluid, and an auxiliary channel for self-flushing the sampling channel.

  • Patent number: 7717954
Abstract: A device for treatment of mitral annulus dilatation comprises an elongate body having two states. In a first of these states the elongate body is insertable into the coronary sinus and has a shape adapting to the shape of the coronary sinus. When positioned in the coronary sinus, the elongate body is transferable to the second state assuming a reduced radius of curvature, whereby the radius of curvature of the coronary sinus and the radius of curvature as well as the circumference of the mitral annulus is reduced.
