Abstract: A rack assembly mountable to trucks for transporting sheet material and the like comprising a pair of generally vertically extending support rails positionable adjacent to one side of a truck and adapted to be coupled to the truck through components on the inboard side thereof. A lower support rail extends outboardly from each vertical rail and has an upper support surface for sheet material to be transported, each outboard end having an upturned end cap with the outboard lower edge of each vertical rail constituting an inboard end cap. Abstract: A kinetic energy system for raising and lowering an elevator with pneumatic and hydraulic fluids. The elevator has a platform with a downwardly projecting shaft and a casing for receiving the shaft. A vertically extending control chamber has a vertically reciprocal piston with a supply of hydraulic fluid beneath the piston and a supply of pneumatic fluid above the piston. The piston is movable as a function of the pressure of the pneumatic fluid above the piston. A hydraulic fluid storage tank is coupled to the casing and the control chamber. Hydraulic fluid lines couple the bottom of the control chamber with the casing. Also included are a pneumatic fluid pressure tank, a compressor, a pneumatic fluid-receiving tank, and controls interrelated to effect the desired movements of the platform.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for removing contaminants from a body comprising in combination the steps of positioning a filter means in the water, the filter means having pluralities of surfaces providing high surface area per volume; supporting biological agents on the surfaces for removing contaminants from water to be cleaned as it flows through the filter means; locating the filter means spaced from the bottom of the water to be cleaned; providing a fluid flow means with a discharge component; effecting the flow of a pressurized fluid by the fluid flow means, from the discharge component, through the water, and across the surfaces in circuitous paths for the removing of contaminants from the water; and positioning the discharge component beneath the filter means and above the bottom of the water for directing the flow of water through the filter means.
