Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments can comprise a method for controlling a machine. The method can comprise a plurality of activities that can comprise determining a profile of a surface responsive to a scan of the surface. The method can comprise identifying a predetermined profile from a plurality of predetermined profiles, the identified predetermined profile a closest match of the plurality of predetermined profiles to the profile of the surface. The method can comprise determining a machine procedure based upon the identified predetermined profile. The method can comprise automatically executing the preferred machine procedure via a machine.
Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system comprising a processor adapted to determine a profile of a surface responsive to a scan of the surface. The processor can be adapted to identify a predetermined profile from a plurality of predetermined profiles, the identified predetermined profile a closest match of the plurality of predetermined profiles to the profile of the surface. The processor can be adapted to determine a procedure based upon the identified predetermined profile. The processor can be adapted to provide the procedure to a machine.
Abstract: A method and apparatus facilitate accurate and efficient numerical solution of governing equations for various analyses. One form of the invention involves: dividing a region of interest into a plurality of higher order finite elements; determining for each of the finite elements a respective approximate solution based on piecewise approximation relating to the region; determining a differential formulation which approximates a governing equation; and combining the approximate solutions and the differential formulation using mixed order approximation to obtain a set of algebraic equations.

Abstract: A bypass assembly. The bypass assembly includes a plurality of movable terminals configured to mate with fixed terminals of a power cell of a power supply. At least one of the movable terminals and its corresponding fixed terminal collectively form a contact when the at least one of the movable terminals and the corresponding fixed terminal are mated.
Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments provide a rotating machine assembly comprising a rotor machine assembly including a shaft, a plurality of laminations shrink fit around the circumference of the shaft, and weights affixed therebetween the laminations for balancing the rotating machine assembly.
Abstract: A system, method, and device for amplifying the signal of a photodiode are provided. The exemplary system may have a photodiode with an amplifier. The amplifier may have an amplifier inverting input, an amplifier non-inverting input, and an amplifier output. A photodiode of the system may have a photodiode anode electrically connected with the amplifier inverting input and a photodiode cathode electrically connected with the amplifier non-inverting input. A gain resistor of the system may couple the amplifier inverting input with the amplifier output. The system may also have a fixed voltage reference electrically connected with the photodiode cathode and the amplifier non-inverting output.
Abstract: An electronic module. The electronic module includes a chassis, a plurality of capacitors, a plurality of bus bars, and a heat sink. The chassis includes a first end and a second end. The first end is opposite the second end. The capacitors are positioned within the chassis, and at least one of the capacitors is proximate the first end. The bus bars are positioned within the chassis proximate the second end. The heat sink is positioned between the capacitors and the bus bars. The capacitors, the heat sink and the bus bars are positioned such that when an airflow enters the chassis at the first end, a portion of the airflow sequentially comes in contact with the capacitors, the heat sink, and the bus bars before exiting at the second end.
Abstract: An oral care implement has an improved handle for control. The handle may include a gripping region having a grip surface with a plurality of spaced slot openings exposing portions of the base. In one construction, the handle may have an inclined portion and a grip body extending through a base of the handle. The grip body forms opposite finger grips on the inclined portion of the handle. In one construction, the handle may include a grip element which provides shifting of a mass centroid of the handle during use. In another construction, the handle includes a resilient grip body and the handle includes an aperture extend through the handle. Aperture has an inclined surface for engaging a resilient grip body.

Abstract: A powered toothbrush is provided and includes a handle portion having a neck formed at one end and a head coupled to neck. The head includes a first carrier that is coupled to the head and is operatively connected to a first drive for moving the first carrier in a first direction. The first carrier has bristles, elastomeric cleaning members, or a combination thereof extending outwardly therefrom. The head also includes a second carrier that is coupled to the head and is in selective engagement with a protrusion extending in a recess defined by the first carrier to impart movement in a second direction. The second carrier has bristles, elastomeric cleaning members or a combination thereof extending outwardly therefrom. In an exemplary embodiment, the first carrier oscillates in a rotational direction and the second carrier moves in a direction parallel to the head.

Abstract: A powered toothbrush which has been designed for improved ergonomics and for assisting the user in using a powered brush in an improved and gentler manner. The powered toothbrush includes a handle portion having a base member at one end thereof. A neck portion extends from the other end of the handle portion with the head coupled to the neck portion. The head includes at least one bristle carrier connected to a drive shaft rotating the at least one bristle carrier in a first rotatable direction. In order to improve the ergonomics and stability of the powered toothbrush, the handle portion is formed asymmetrical about the longitudinal axis of the powered toothbrush and the base member of the handle portion is substantially flat.
Abstract: A powered toothbrush is provided and includes a handle portion having a neck formed at one end and a head coupled to the neck. The head includes a first carrier coupled to the head and operatively connected to a drive mechanism for moving the first carrier in a first path of motion. The first carrier has at least one of a plurality of bristles and elastomeric cleaning members extending outwardly therefrom to deliver oral care benefits to the user. The head also includes a second carrier coupled to the head. The second carrier is formed of an elastomeric material and has at least one of a plurality of bristles and elastomeric cleaning members extending outwardly from an upper surface thereof. The second carrier is constructed so that upon application of a force to the upper surface thereof, the second carrier moves in a second path of motion that is different from the first path of motion.
