Patent number: 6817476Abstract: A water clarification system for removing suspended solids from a fluid, such as sewage, using gravity. The water clarification system may include a plurality of settling plates releasably coupled to a housing. The housing positions the settling plates at acute angles relative to a substantially horizontal line using a plurality of guides. The settling plates are kept in position using one or more flanges that are releasably coupled to side walls of the housing. The water clarification system operates by receiving a fluid through an inlet orifice located near bottom sections of the plurality of settling plates. The fluid travels in the spaces between adjacent settling plates and through apertures in top flanges of the settling plates. The fluid collects in an exit channel that is formed by the top flanges of the settling plates.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2003Date of Patent: November 16, 2004Assignee: Aerex Industries, Inc.Inventors: Thomas A. Patent number: 6785981Abstract: A restriction sensor system for identifying the existence of blockages in exhaust conduits of clothes dryers. The restriction sensor system may include a pressure sensing device having a body configured to be coupled to an exhaust conduit of a clothes dryer. The pressure sensing device may be capable of determining changes in air pressure in the exhaust conduit. Once the air pressure present in the exhaust conduit exceeds a threshold air pressure, the pressure sensing device may send a signal to an indicator to generate an alarm, which may be a visual alarm or audible alarm, or both.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2003Date of Patent: September 7, 2004Assignee: In-O-Vate TechnologiesInventor: Richard John Harpenau

Patent number: 6786499Abstract: A suspension system for supporting a front wheel of a vehicle, such as a motorcycle, that includes at least one movement limiting device coupled to a support arm assembly and to a frame. The support arm assembly may support the front wheel and pivot about an axis that is generally orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of a vehicle and generally orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the support arm assembly. The suspension system controls the amount of movement the support arm assembly undergoes about the pivot. The suspension system may be configured to absorb shock encountered in motorcycles having extreme rake.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2003Date of Patent: September 7, 2004Assignee: Tempest Cycles, Inc.Inventor: Erick J. Ackley

Patent number: 6354645Abstract: The handle of the present invention is formed from a sheet of pliable material having a periphery with two opposed convex edges separated by two opposed concave edges. Two parallel fold-lines join the concave edges. When the sheet is folded, the body forms symmetrical walls that are fastened together using a tab, located on the edge of one symmetrical walls of the handle, and a groove formed on the edge of the second symmetrical wall of the handle, for receiving the tab. In its folded state, the handle resembles a taco shell with a bite taken from each end. The bite resemblance is formed by the two opposing concave edges and help to limit the length of the flat base formed by the space between the parallel fold lines. A correct base length allows the bag handles to naturally droop from the weight of the contents, so that the taut bag handles do not cut through the pliable body material or weaken the base.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2001Date of Patent: March 12, 2002Assignee: Grabb-It, Inc.Inventor: Martin R. Bozlee

Patent number: 6315077Abstract: A frangible insert that is inserted in a pre-positioned bushing in the wall of a manhole form from the convex, easily reached side of the inner form wall. A key in the insert is received in a keyway in the bushing in the form wall so that the insert is properly oriented in the form. Concrete is then poured into the form, enveloping and affixing the insert within the man hole wall. A weakened, frangible region is provided on the insert in a position immediately adjacent to the form wall so that after the concrete is cured, the manhole and form can simply be separated, causing the portion of the insert embedded in the concrete to separate from the insert portion in the form bushing.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1998Date of Patent: November 13, 2001Assignee: M.
