Abstract: Methods for delivering at least one medical device to a desired location for treatment, and then selectively deploy it in position, include an improved handle. One of the possible features of the handle may be to selectively hold the delivery system components at any desired configuration during deployment and positioning of the medical device. Another possible feature of the handle may be more than one mode of operation, in which the deployment of the medical device can selectively proceed at more than one speed. Yet another possible feature of the handle may be a locking mechanism that resists inadvertent or accidental movement or retraction of the stent delivery system components during packaging, sterilization, shipping, storage, handling and preparation of the stent delivery system.
Abstract: The drug delivery stent assembly includes a hollow tubular wire stent which extends in a path defining a generally cylindrical envelope and which has side walls facing outwardly of the cylindrical envelope with holes therein for delivery of liquid to a site in a vessel where the stent is placed.

Abstract: The catheter comprises a tube-like basic body having a proximal end, a distal end section, a distal end and a central lumen; two active elements, at least one of which is a balloon, mounted on the distal end section of the basic body; the basic body further having a wall hole located at a position in between the distal end and the proximal end and close to a proximal end of the most proximal of the two active elements; a separate tube-like member received in the central lumen of the basic body and extending from an end hole at the distal end of the basic body to the wall hole and fixed close to the wall hole for receiving a guide wire.

Abstract: The cryo-ablation catheter comprises a generally tubular body having a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end includes a hollow closed head made of a thermally conductive material. A pressure line is received in and extends in the catheter from a location near the proximal end to a location near the head. The catheter includes a discharge channel extending from the head to the proximal end. The pressure line is made of a synthetic material which has, compared to metal, a low modulus of elasticity and a high thermal resistance coefficient.
