Abstract: A device which incorporates three functions in one instrument necessary during surgical operations for transfer of laser energy to and viewing the site of the surgery. The fiber optic cable used to transfer the laser energy and the aspirator and irrigator tubes are all contained in a parallel in the fiber diverter. In addition the end of the fiber diverter can be bent at angles to the longitudinal axis of the instrument in order to work around other surgical apparatus involved in the operation thus avoiding the need to make other incisions in the patient. The amount of bend in the tip is controlled at the handle end of the instrument away from the surgical site. When bent the device can irrigate and aspirate at the same time laser cutting is being performed.

Abstract: A device for directing or switching pneumatically sealed tubes for transporting carriers from one receive/send station to another in a pneumatic system. The matrix configuration enables directional changes to single or multiple paths with the use of fewer diverting stations. The pressure and vacuum system is controlled at the line tubes by standard check valves and other pneumatic system devices.

Abstract: A device which provides a source of light for a wheeled vehicle such as a bicycle to provide warning of the presence of the vehicle and any person or rider. The device uses a battery power pack which may be rechargeable that mounts around the axle of a wheel of the vehicle. A string of light emitting diodes contained in a clear sealed flexible tube is electrically connected to the power pack. The power pack and tube rotate with the wheel and provide an active light source for others to see such as drivers of automobiles. The device is especially useful on spoke wheels such as bicycles.

Abstract: The challeng craft is a paddle craft constructed of wood, plastic, and cloth with two wood interior support frames which are removable. The hull of the paddle craft is constructed of four pieces of wood attached with cloth so that when the interior support frames are removed the craft is foldable. This makes transportation of the craft easy. The paddle craft also had closed cell foam sponsons along the sides of the craft to provide stability in water.

Abstract: Footwear Fastener is a logical and comfortable alternative to lacking shoes. It will adapt to any shoe. A zipper with loops sewn on the bottom and buttons on top allow the show wearer to lace the loops through existing eyelets and hook around the buttons. To tighten the fit of the shoe the wearer wraps the elastic cord around the button until the desired fit is achieved. With the apparatus secure to tighen shoes all the wearer needs to do is zip the apparatus shut.
