Abstract: A scissors-type work platform lift machine includes a mobile chassis having rear stationary wheels and front steerable wheels, a scissors lift mechanism mounted at a lower end on the chassis, a work platform mounted on an upper end of the lift mechanism, and an electro-mechanical actuation arrangement for operating the lift mechanism between retracted and expanded conditions so as to move the work platform between lowered and raised positions.
Abstract: A scissors-type work platform lift machine includes a chassis, a work platform, a scissors lift mechanism, and a telescopable electro-mechanical actuation arrangement. The work platform is disposed above the chassis. The scissors lift mechanism has a plurality of portions pivotally movable relative to one another, an upper end portion pivotally mounting the work platform above the chassis, and a lower end portion pivotally mounted on the chassis. The pivotally movable portions are movable vertically between retracted and expanded conditions so as to move the work platform between lowered and raised positions relative to the chassis. The actuation arrangement extends and is mounted to selected upper and lower ones of the pivotally movable portions of the lift mechanism and is adapted to operate the lift mechanism between the retracted and expanded conditions.
Abstract: A conduit connector assembly which receives an end of a conduit carrying electrical wires includes a fitting body, an end stop grommet and a spring clip. The end stop grommet and the spring clip are each mounted to the fitting body. The spring clip is disposed within an interior bore of the fitting body and has a resiliently flexible body and a gripping end portion on the body defining a grip end. The grip end has a substantially scalloped configuration for gripping and fitting partially about the conduit so as to center the grip end of the spring clip body on the conduit. The grip end having the scalloped configuration is in the form of an arcuate concave-shaped edge surface on the gripping end portion of the body. The grip end of the spring clip body makes line contact with an inner convolution on an exterior of the conduit and makes at least a single point contact with an outer convolution on the exterior of the conduit.
Abstract: A conduit connector assembly which receives an end of a conduit carrying electrical wires includes a fitting body, an end stop grommet and a spring clip. The fitting body and spring clip are provided with inwardly projecting conduit gripping portions having grip ends which are angled relative to a reference plane disposed perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the fitting body so as to make line contact rather than only a point contact with portions of convolutions of the conduit so that greater and more uniformly applied gripping force is produced that will prevent the conduit from being pulled out from the connector assembly.
Abstract: An electrical receptacle assembly includes a housing and a plurality of dual snap-fit securement arrangements defined on the housing. The housing include a front cover and a back cover being adapted to interfit with the front cover in a mating relationship so as to define an interior cavity for enclosing electrical components. Each dual snap-fit securement arrangement includes a lug attached on one of the front and back covers of the housing, and a pair of latching tabs attached on the other of the front and back covers and disposed in a latching position relative to one another in which the latching tabs are adapted to make interlocking engagement with the lug upon interfitting of the front and back covers into the mating relationship with one another.
Abstract: A composite ribbon coupling cable includes a plurality of elongated strengthening elements made of a resilient springy material, a plurality of elongated communications elements disposed in alternating spaced apart relation with the elongated strengthening elements, an inner jacket of insulative material encapsulating the alternating strengthening elements and communications elements therewithin so as to dispose the encapsulated elements in a substantially common plane providing a substantially flat ribbon configuration, and an outer jacket of resilient wear-resistant protective material encapsulating the inner jacket of insulative material. The strengthening elements preferably are elongated bands of a spring metal whereas the communications elements preferably have fiber optic cores or copper cores. The inner jacket includes a pair of inner flat layers of insulative material disposed along and adhered to opposite sides of the alternating strengthening elements and communications elements.
Abstract: An angled interconnect panel assembly includes an enclosure, a plurality of support brackets mounted inside the enclosure, a plurality of interconnect panels which are each pivotally mounted to one of the support brackets and are each disposed in an angled position when at rest between adjacent support brackets, and a pair of key-operated lock mechanisms for locking or holding the interconnect panels in their angled positions. The enclosure has a pair of opposite end walls and defines wire entry ports in the end walls. One wire entry port is for passage of user wiring into the assembly while the other of the wire entry ports is for passage of technician wiring into the assembly. Each interconnect panel has opposite user and technician sides and defines a plurality of openings extending between the opposite user and technician sides for receiving one or more interconnection members. The assembly also includes a pair of front closure doors.

Abstract: A set of grounded and isolated duplex electrical receptacle assemblies includes interchangeable dual female bodies, interchangeable socket bases, interchangeable right, left and middle contact members, and interchangeable support bridges for assembling either a grounded or an isolated receptacle assembly. In the isolated assembly, an insulator plate is fitted between the support bridge and the middle contact member to electrically isolate one from another to thereby prevent electrical engagement therewith.
Abstract: A receptacle assembly includes a body adapted to receive a plug at one end, a cover, a hinge having a bifurcated end and pivotally mounting the cover to the body for movement between an open condition and a closed condition relative to the body and biasing the cover toward the closed condition, and position retention tabs formed on laterally spaced apart lugs defined on the bifurcated end of the hinge with each tab projecting outwardly therefrom and defining an arcuate-shaped shoulder such that the shoulders of the tabs and the body can retain a rod-shaped member therebetween for blocking movement of the cover from the open condition to the closed condition when the plug is not present at the one end of the body. The cover is also rotatable between an open position where the cover is removable from the body and a closed position where the cover is secured onto the body.
Abstract: A variable vacuum attachment for a hair grooming clipper includes a body and a coupler connected to the body and having an end receiving an end of a hose connected to a vacuum source. The body is a suction head mounted on the hair grooming clipper and defining an air flow passage. A vacuum applied to the body through the coupler and hose will induce a hair cuttings-entrainable flow of air from the cutting head end of the clipper through the air flow passage of the body and therefrom through the coupler to the hose. The coupler has open opposite ends and an internal air flow channel extending therebetween. A vacuum relief mechanism on the coupler includes a vacuum relief port in an annular wall thereof intermediate between the open opposite ends of the channel for providing adjustable flow communication between the channel and the exterior of the coupler.
