  • Patent number: 6367521
Abstract: A dispensing valve cap mountable to a bottle is provided with a first valve part having a tubular portion having an air inlet and a fluid outlet spaced apart along a longitudinal axis of the tubular portion to form a constant head valve for dispensing fluid from the bottle. A second valve part of the valve rotatably mounted to the first valve part includes a tubular portion for simultaneously closing both the air inlet and the fluid outlet of the first valve part when fluid dispensing is not desired. The second valve part firther includes an air inlet, and a fluid outlet alignable with the air inlet and the fluid outlet of the tubular portion when fluid dispensing is desired. The dispensing valve cap controls fluid flow from the bottle. The bottle with the valve cap is useable with a dispenser assembly for mixing a concentrated fluid from the bottle with a dilutant. A tamper resistant lock prevents undesired rotation of the second valve part relative to the first valve part.

  • Patent number: 6352751
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sequentially and precisely registering cut sheets for application onto advertising signatures at high speeds employs an initial roll of sheeting material. The sheeting material is unwound to track a process path, where eyemarks on the sheeting material are detected for use in registering the sheeting material to be cut into discrete sheets and to be aligned with a moving advertising signature for affixation thereto. The sheeting material has a repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive along one side edge thereof for use in adhering the cut sheet to the advertising signature. In one embodiment, the sheeting material is generally opaque adjacent one side edge and is sufficiently transparent adjacent its other side edge so that when a sheet cut from the sheeting material is adhered to an advertising signature, images on the advertising signature are visible through at least a portion of the sheet.

  • Patent number: 6298498
Abstract: A jaw piece is attachable to a base edge of the helmet. The jaw piece and a portion of the base edge of the helmet define a user viewing window. A first face shield is pivotable between an open position and a closed position extending across the viewing window. A seal is provided to engage with a perimeter of the viewing window when the first face shield is in the closed position. The attaching assembly for attaching the first face shield comprises a helmet cam having first helmet cam surfaces configured to releasably attach the first face shield to the protective helmet system and second helmet cam surfaces configured to releasably attach a second face shield to the protective helmet. The attaching assembly generates a first biasing force to bias the seal toward the perimeter of the viewing window when the first face shield is in the closed position.

The filter support also includes two or more second support ribs on a second side of the filter support, where the filter support's second side is opposite from the first side. The second support ribs are also generally aligned along the longitudinal first axis. At least one of the first support ribs is laterally offset from each of the second support ribs along a transverse axis that is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The filter support provides support to opposing sides of a filter bag or opposing individual filter elements. Also disclosed are a filter assembly including a filter and a filter support, along with a helmet-mounted powered air purifying respirator in which the filter assembly is located within the helmet crown.

  • Patent number: 6150320
Abstract: Concentrated cleaning compositions are described which exhibit an increase in viscosity simply upon dilution with water. The concentrated and diluted ("ready-to-use") versions are useful in removing food and petroleum grease from hard surfaces (particularly non-horizontal surfaces), and may be formulated as petroleum degreasers, hand soaps and bathroom cleaners. The inventive compositions include an aggregate-forming organic compound, for example an amine oxide, and a nonaggregating or mildly aggregating organic compound, such as an organic alkyl alcohol having from about 4 to about 20 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 6129977
Abstract: A tape roll structure which includes a tape having adhesive on one face, and the tape can be pulled off a tape roll and cut into segments of varying lengths. The tape is provided with a paper tape or coating on one or both sides for receiving written indicia, and which becomes part of a tape segment. Thus, once a tape segment has been attached by adhesive to a marginal edge of a sheet, written indicia can be written on the paper tape or coating so that a tab is immediately formed on a sheet. In a preferred embodiment, a pair of tape rolls are mounted in a shell, and one of the tape rolls carries a paper tape and the other tape roll carries adhesive tape. When the two tapes are pulled from their rolls, the paper tape moves into bonded engagement with one-half of the adhesive tape of the other roll. Then the tapes are cut into a segment and bonded to the sheet to which a tab is to be mounted.
