  • Patent number: 8079483
Abstract: A closure having a stopping mechanism whereby a stop lug is positionable between a flexed and unflexed position relative to a spring gap. The stop lug may project from a skirt of the closure top wall. The spring gap is positioned adjacent the stop lug to provide an area for the stop lug to travel when outside forces are applied to the stop lug and subsequently return back to the unflexed position. The stop lug may have a substantially vertical support rib in combination with a plurality of annularly spaced ribs.

  • Patent number: 7967826
Abstract: A tool is described for use in a stabilization system for bony structures such as vertebrae, where the system involves connected a connector from one bone anchor in a vertebra to a second bone anchor in another vertebra. The tool includes a handle attached to an arm. The arm is connected by a pivot to a connector engagement mechanism, the pivot allowing the connector engagement mechanism to move from an orientation inline with the arm to an orientation at an angle relative to the arm by rotating at the pivot. The connector engagement mechanism is engaged to an end of the connector when the tool is in its inline orientation and by causing the movement, which can be by the movement of a lever on the handle, of the connector engagement mechanism to the angled orientation, the end of the connector is moved into a position for engagement with the second bone anchor.

  • Patent number: 7625148
Abstract: An improved method of edge-to-edge printing on media in a printer having a printhead disposed above an ink trough, the ink trough has a plurality of sections formed by a plurality of trough support ribs within the ink trough, comprises indexing a leading edge of media to a first position over a first trough section, selectively operating printhead jets which are positioned above the media to inhibit ink contamination of exposed support ribs, indexing the media leading edge to one of a second position within the first trough section or a position within a second trough section.

  • Patent number: 7561823
Abstract: A removable duplex unit for an image forming peripheral having a simplex media feedpath and a reversible roller for moving media in a first direction through the peripheral and in a second direction through the duplex unit, includes an auxiliary housing adapted to be removably connected to the image forming peripheral, the auxiliary housing having therein a curved duplex media feedpath of a preselected length extending through the auxiliary housing in feeding communication with the reversible roller in the simplex media feedpath wherein the duplex feedpath in the auxiliary housing is passive and does not provide energy to media passing through the duplex media feedpath.
