  • Patent number: 8311930
Abstract: An enhanced system and method for handling, matching and executing a diverse group of limit-priced orders in an electronic options environment is disclosed. Most of the order types disclosed are automatically repriced and reposted as the NBBO changes to increase their execution opportunities. Market maker entitlements are integrated with the order processing, so that the market maker is guaranteed an allocation of the trade if the market maker is at the NBBO when an order priced at or better than the NBBO is received. Once posted to the order book, the displayed price of an order may be eligible for preferential execution in a market maker entitlement process, regardless of whether the displayed price is original or has been automatically repriced.

  • Patent number: 8254589
Abstract: A noise suppressor includes a fundamental sound source (121, 122) for generating a fundamental waveform having a predetermined frequency, and suppresses that frequency component of noise which corresponds to the predetermined frequency by generating a control sound from a signal generated by multiplying the fundamental waveform by an adaptive filter coefficient (W0, W1). The noise suppressor further includes a frequency adjusting circuit (210) for increasing or decreasing, by a predetermined amount, the frequency of the fundamental waveform output from the sound source if the phase fluctuation of the control sound detected by using the adaptive filter coefficient is larger than a predetermined threshold value. The noise suppressor has improved ability of tracking the peak frequency fluctuation of periodic noise.

  • Patent number: 8241640
Abstract: Botulinum toxin, a well know systemic poison, produces favorable therapeutic effect by virtue of regionally attaching to nerves within the myoneural junction and possibly other tissues in a target region of a particular tissue. The present invention provides compositions of botulinum toxin and a sequestration agent that increase sequestration and delivery of the botulinum toxin to neural and associated tissues, as compared with available formulations of botulinum toxins, and thereby produce a beneficial clinical effect. The sequestration agents of the present invention include proteins, lipids and carbohydrates. A preferred composition of the present invention comprises a botulinum toxin and an albumin. The present invention also provides methods of treating neuromuscular diseases and pain using the disclosed compositions and methods of making the disclosed compositions.
