    Abstract: An illuminated fish hook has a self-contained lithium polymer battery and light unit, preferably an LED, permanently attached thereto. The light unit is provided with an on/off switch. In an alternative embodiment the light unit is inserted directly, or a capsule containing the light unit is inserted, in a translucent fish lure.
