Abstract: A heat dissipating helmet provides a heat dissipating material portion. One or more high powered LEDs may be in thermal contact therewith providing a significant portion of a heat sink to remove heat from the LEDs to maintain them at a proper operating temperature during operation. The heat dissipating material may be also in contact with air flow as the helmet moves through space thereby allowing convection to assist in removing heat from the helmet. Furthermore, heat moving elements located internal to the helmet may assist in transferring heat to the heat dissipating material from the scalp of a wearer.
Abstract: A method of testing pressed food product operational characteristics of a food processor having a press as a portion of a processing line as contemplated. Specifically, the test mold station provides a mold plate having at least one cavity less than an operational mold cavity and has spacers having a combined width greater than a width of the test mold plate.
Abstract: A yarn tensioning apparatus is supplied with a yarn clamping position and a positive yarn engaging position to precisely meter yarns to tufting machine needles and especially to more uniformly advance pneumatically supplied yarns to hollow needles.
Abstract: A kneeling/sledding snow board apparatus provides a retention device connecting to a gliding board. The retention device has a tray mounted to a mounting device connected possibly with snow board binding connections. The tray receives a knee pad having a seat extension extending up from a mid portion of the knee pad. Cutouts allow the rider's legs to extend therethrough. A lap and knee straps restrain the legs of a rider along with vee straps. The tray preferably tapers upwardly and outwardly from a base to provide somewhat of a U-shaped cross section which may assist in deflecting snow and providing increased comfort to a rider.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming pressed food products can utilize up to 98% chicken breast meat in high profit margin products. Breast meat is marinated and then extruded into a slab which is then frozen and shaped into a plank. The plank is sliced into unit portions which are then pressed into shaped portions with a preferred, or other, press. One preferred press linearly reciprocates unit portions into the press. This or another preferred press imparts three dimension exterior shape to the pressed food products.
Abstract: A sink and its installation are shown and described. A lip of the sink defines a continuous outer perimeter which is preferably received within a first inner perimeter of a portion of a countertop so that an upper surface of the countertop extends at or at an elevation above the upper surface of the lip. Preferably a slope leads from the upper surface of the countertop to an upper surface of the lip wherein water or food may be directed from the countertop into the sink. The sink preferably rests on a ledge of the countertop which has been machined or otherwise formed into the countertop. Furthermore, the outer perimeter of the lip of the sink preferably has no discontinuous points thereon wherein when a derivative is taken of an equation defining the outer perimeter, a solution is provided for all points.
Abstract: An improved positive displacement pump provides improved wear characteristics. Specifically, rotor pads are provided on faces relative to an internal portion of the rotor housing as it relates to an end wall and a rear side of a cover plate. The rotor pads preferably have at least one of anti-galling and/or anti-friction or anti-wear characteristics thereby providing improvements over the prior art. A central member is preferably provided so that pad replacement may be relatively easily performed in the field in clean in place operations.
Abstract: A tufting machine is provided with two transverse rows of needles, one row being associated with transverse row of loopers and the other second row of needles being associated with a transverse row of gated hooks. Novel and low pile height tufted fabrics can be created with this configuration.
Abstract: A cookware underliner as some having a top and bottom layer encapsulating at least a portion of a rigid frame. The top layer provides a base with upwardly extending sidewalls which receive a cooking article therein. The top and bottom layers are preferably constructed of silicon rubber or thermoplastic rubber and provide an attractive alternative to planar birchwood underliners currently available in the marketplace.
Abstract: A burner for use with cooking has a multiplicity of slots extending relative to a periphery of a burner head providing primary flame orifices. The slots have slot walls preferably extending upwardly from a slot bottom. A cap tops the burner head. Stops are disposed in the slots so that a smaller cross section is created internal to the slot than at an outlet of the stop to reduce a possibility of flame lifting under high port loading and/or high turn down ratio conditions.
Abstract: A camera and camera insert having an improved crop area on a composition guide. The composition guide can be molded into the insert, such as a camera screen, and/or alternatively printed or painted thereon. The crop area can be horizontal and/or vertically oriented and/or provide an ability to identify both 8×10 as well as wallet sized images depending upon the embodiment utilized.
Abstract: A playground roof system having the capability of being attached to different diameter support members is provided. The frame of the roof structure is roto-molded such that two different sized openings are provided at each corner of the frame, each opening in the same area, such that the roof is interchangeable in different playground systems. The roof system further includes openings formed in the frame such that a fastener can be threaded therein fastening the frame and support members together.
