  • Patent number: 8152322
Abstract: A heat dissipating helmet provides a heat dissipating material portion. One or more high powered LEDs may be in thermal contact therewith providing a significant portion of a heat sink to remove heat from the LEDs to maintain them at a proper operating temperature during operation. The heat dissipating material may be also in contact with air flow as the helmet moves through space thereby allowing convection to assist in removing heat from the helmet. Furthermore, heat moving elements located internal to the helmet may assist in transferring heat to the heat dissipating material from the scalp of a wearer.

  • Patent number: 8128102
Abstract: A kneeling/sledding snow board apparatus provides a retention device connecting to a gliding board. The retention device has a tray mounted to a mounting device connected possibly with snow board binding connections. The tray receives a knee pad having a seat extension extending up from a mid portion of the knee pad. Cutouts allow the rider's legs to extend therethrough. A lap and knee straps restrain the legs of a rider along with vee straps. The tray preferably tapers upwardly and outwardly from a base to provide somewhat of a U-shaped cross section which may assist in deflecting snow and providing increased comfort to a rider.

  • Patent number: 8110236
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming pressed food products can utilize up to 98% chicken breast meat in high profit margin products. Breast meat is marinated and then extruded into a slab which is then frozen and shaped into a plank. The plank is sliced into unit portions which are then pressed into shaped portions with a preferred, or other, press. One preferred press linearly reciprocates unit portions into the press. This or another preferred press imparts three dimension exterior shape to the pressed food products.

  • Patent number: 8099805
Abstract: A sink and its installation are shown and described. A lip of the sink defines a continuous outer perimeter which is preferably received within a first inner perimeter of a portion of a countertop so that an upper surface of the countertop extends at or at an elevation above the upper surface of the lip. Preferably a slope leads from the upper surface of the countertop to an upper surface of the lip wherein water or food may be directed from the countertop into the sink. The sink preferably rests on a ledge of the countertop which has been machined or otherwise formed into the countertop. Furthermore, the outer perimeter of the lip of the sink preferably has no discontinuous points thereon wherein when a derivative is taken of an equation defining the outer perimeter, a solution is provided for all points.

  • Patent number: 8087914
Abstract: An improved positive displacement pump provides improved wear characteristics. Specifically, rotor pads are provided on faces relative to an internal portion of the rotor housing as it relates to an end wall and a rear side of a cover plate. The rotor pads preferably have at least one of anti-galling and/or anti-friction or anti-wear characteristics thereby providing improvements over the prior art. A central member is preferably provided so that pad replacement may be relatively easily performed in the field in clean in place operations.
