  • Patent number: 4711403
Abstract: The present invention relates to a chicken manure handling machine and system. The chicken manure handling machine is designed to be maneuvered inside a chicken house and is particularly used to automatically clean chicken manure from the chicken house between flocks. As the chicken manure machine is moved through the chicken house, a blade scrapes the caked-like chicken manure and associated litter up from the floor and directs the combined caked material (manure, litter, etc.) upwardly onto an elevator/shaker assembly. As the caked material is conveyed upwardly on the elevator/shaker assembly, the caked manure and associated litter is shaken, causing portions of the associated litter to be separated and to fall through the elevator/shaker assembly onto the chicken house floor where it can be reused by the next flock.

  • Patent number: 4709426
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for producing a water or fluid splatter shield across an open top area of a toilet bowl, urinal or the like. This is accomplished by supplying a fluid such as water or air under pressure to a nozzle, an annular ring type housing or pipe that is disposed about the top portion of the toilet bowl or urinal. Outlet means is formed about the interior of the nozzle, the annular ring housing or pipe such that fluid is dispersed therefrom and form a continuous, relatively thin sheet of flowing fluid above the bottom of the toilet bowl or urinal. Consequently, urine being directed into the toilet bowl or urinal is prevented from splattering out by the presence of the fluid shield.

  • Patent number: 4706981
Abstract: The invention herein relates to a spray dampening device for use in connection with tractor trailers, dump trucks, buses and other vehicles which tend to produce a large amount of spray in wet conditions. Air flow generated by the forward movement of the vehicle is channeled through a manifold employed over the wheels of the vehicle. The manifold diverts the air flow downwardly across the outside of the tire thereby preventing excessive spray.

  • Patent number: 4706648
Abstract: The invention herein relates to ash catchers for woodstoves of the type adapted to be inserted into an existing fireplace. The ash catcher includes a generally horizontal pan supported along the front edge by a pair of fixed legs. A third leg is pivotally secured to the pan and is biased to a downward position for supporting the rear edge of said pan. When placed in a position for catching ashes from a woodstove, the rear leg is pivoted upwardly against the underside of the pan which rests upon the fireplace hearth.

  • Patent number: 4701963
Abstract: The present invention entails a glove having a padded palm which includes a series of parallel padded ridges that extend across the palm area of the glove at an angle. Moroever, the glove is provided with dual attaching straps. One strap, a wrist attaching strap, draws the glove snugly around the subject's wrist. The other strap, a back side strap, when secured extends at an angle across streetchable material forming a portion of the back side of the glove. Effectively, the back angled strap tends to pull and gather the back side of the glove resulting in a snug and secure fit about the subject's hand.

  • Patent number: 4700734
Abstract: The present invention relates to water collecting and spring box and gauging system and water holding tank wherein the spring box is designed to receive and collect water from a source such as a spring. Once collected in the spring box, the water is filtered prior to being directed to a water holding tank that is normally stationed near a point between the spring and location of ultimate use. The spring box includes a water inlet, a drain, and a supply outlet. The flow rate of water from the spring box is controlled by varying the height of the water level maintained in the spring box and by selectively sizing and spacing openings formed in a vertical water filter that is communicatively connected to the supply outlet.
