  • Patent number: 4574421
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner locking device that is particularly adapted to lock an industrial vacuum cleaner of the type having an upper container and lower container disposed in a stacked relationship wherein each container includes a pair of handles which are aligned with the handles of the other container. The vacuum cleaner locking device includes a pair of L-shaped locking bars having vertical and horizontal sections. Each vertical section extends vertically along one side of the vacuum cleaner and through a respective handle on the upper container and engages a respective handle on the lower container. A hook is formed in the lower end of each vertical section for extending around and underneath the respective lower handles for engaging the same. The horizontal sections extend from the upper end of the vertical section over the top of the upper container to a point where they meet. At this point the ends of the horizontal sections turn upward and abut against each other.

  • Patent number: 4568577
Abstract: The present invention entails a laminated timber structure comprised of a plurality of elongated laminated timbers laminated together in side-by-side relationship to form an elongated timber structure. The cross sectional area of the respective elongated timbers are of a generally uniform shape and size, with the cross sectional area being preferably square such as one-half inch by one-half inch. This enables standard size laminated timbers such as two by four, two by six, four by four, to be formed. In forming the laminated timber structure of the present invention, the respective elongated timbers are disposed in side-by-side relationship and glued along the sides of the timber as well as across the ends, giving rise to both edge and face joints.

  • Patent number: 4561658
Abstract: The present invention entails a matching game and game board therefor for teaching math fundamentals such as multiplication, addition, subtraction, etc., to children. Cards having math problems thereon are distributed about the game board and during the course of the game individual players, via tokens, advance over the cards and around the game board. At the conclusion of each advancement, the particular card that the player lands on is presented as a mathematical problem. An answer is given by a player for that particular problem and the correctness of the answer is checked by a matching answer area formed on the game board itself. According to game rules, a correct answer is appropriately rewarded.
