  • Patent number: 6675615
Abstract: A T-bar lockable linkage between the gunnels and forward of a marine craft limits opening of side and central storage containers. The linkage includes a pair of tubular outer arms independently pivotally connected to a center link having an extended position for connection to the mounting brackets and a shortened position for removal therefrom. A shiftable lock block slidably supported on the linkage effects rigidized coaxial alignment of the outer arms in the extended position, The lock block includes a locking hub for releasable connection with a transverse center arm for limiting opening of the storage containers. The hub carries a keyed locking device including a latch bolt that engages the cross arm assembly to unitize the assembly and prevent separation of the components.

  • Patent number: 6625399
Abstract: A method and device for detecting and/or photographing unregulated light flash events such as lighting strikes and muzzle flashes during both daylight and night time conditions is disclosed. The present device utilizes a photodiode sensor in conjunction with a photoresistor to control feedback gain of a transimpedance amplifier thereby providing non-linear amplification and therein constant sensitivity to detect an unregulated, omni-directional flash of light and produce an output signal that is input to an analog comparator circuit whereat a predetermined threshold level is set to prevent false triggering of the isolation relays and/or camera shutter. The output from the comparator circuit is input to a timer circuit to produce a signal of sufficient duration to trigger the isolation relay(s) and/or camera shutter.

  • Patent number: 6608491
Abstract: A monitoring system for the affirmative measurement of feed levels in a bin includes a vertically disposed series of pressure sensors carried on a flexible detector strap releasably mounted at the center of the feed bin. The sensors include radially projecting blades that deflect and actuate in response to the downward flow of material being discharged. The signals from the sensors are routed to a local monitoring site permitting on-site determination of fill level. The signals from plural bins may also be routed to a central monitoring site. The local monitoring site is preferably provided with a programmable logic controller for periodically recording the level of the feed bin. The fill data is remotely retrievable for use in determining resupply needs. The system may also beneficially incorporate a modem communications link with a remote service monitoring site.
