Abstract: A method for providing fast and flexible call setup, the method comprising establishing a plurality of phantom channels over a bearer channel, wherein at least one of the plurality of phantom channels is pre-assigned to a first session negotiation method, at least one of remaining phantom channels of the plurality of phantom channels is pre-assigned to a second session negotiation method, the second session negotiation method has at least one property different from the first session negotiation method, and at least one of the remaining phantom channels is assigned to at least one fixed media operation point, whereby the first session negotiation method is utilized for flexible session setup.

Abstract: Systems and methods for circulating air in an enclosed environment are disclosed. An inlet can be provided to receive an outside air from outside of the enclosed environment and an air handling unit coupled to the inlet to receive the outside air through the inlet and configured to receive a circulated air from the enclosed environment. The air handling unit can be configured to affect a temperature of at least one of the received outside air and the received circulated air. Based on the received outside air and the received circulated air, the air handling unit can be further configured to generate air for supplying to the enclosed environment.

Abstract: The invention relates, in various aspects, to systems and methods for linking content stored on a computer network with content broadcast over a television network. The system includes a database, a trigger mechanism, a communications interface, and a packet generator. The database stores tokens representative of links to the stored content and delivery information representative of at least a duration for delivering the token. The trigger mechanism indicates an instruction to deliver a token over the television network, generating a signal indicating a respective one of the stored tokens and a time for starting the delivery of the respective token. The communications interface has a channel in communication with a television set top box device for transferring the respective token to the television set top box device. The packet generator generates packets within a stream of television content to be broadcast over the television network.

Abstract: An improved hip prosthesis includes an acetabular cup bearing component constructed from a relatively hard and high strength ceramic material for articulation with a ball-shaped femoral head component which may be constructed from a compatible ceramic or metal material. In one form, the acetabular cup further includes a ceramic porous bone ingrowth surface adhered thereto for secure ingrowth attachment to natural patient bone.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using tokens to link the television and the Internet platforms. The tokens are tightly encoded into the content and a registry controls the linking of the television content to specific Internet-based content. The registry also polices the validity of the tokens and optionally provides the token owner with continued control over the Internet content associated with that token. When the two platforms are linked successfully, the consumer receives quality content, while being protected from unwanted Internet content.

Abstract: This document describes a high intensity air purifier (HAIP), a super oxidation purifier, and a controller for controlling operation of any of various purification systems. In some implementations, a HAIP includes an air purifier system coupled within a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet. The air purifier system includes a pre-filter coupled to the air inlet, an axial fan for receiving and forwarding air from the air inlet. The air purifier system further includes a UV reaction chamber having a UV-light source for providing UV light to the forwarded air from the air inlet and a reflective lining to reflect the provided UV light, to provide UV purified air from the UV reaction chamber. The air purifier system further includes a chemical catalyst cartridge for receiving the UV purified air from the UV reaction chamber, for further purifying the UV purified air, and a post filter coupled to the air outlet.

Abstract: A vehicle with front and rear steering is disclosed. The vehicle can be a cycle. The cycle includes a front wheel steered by a front hand-steering mechanism, and two back wheels steered by a back hand-steering mechanism. The back wheels are dual inclined casters with full rotational movement. A drive train forward of the front wheel drives the front wheel, while a rider is inclined in a seat in a recumbent orientation. The front and rear steering provides unlimited maneuverability and turning capabilities.

Abstract: A system, article and method of indexing web content is presented. An attribute is generated for a rendered web page rendered by a display component. The attribute includes a uniform resource locator to the rendered web page, and the rendered web page is associated with a complex resource structure that defines content of a design time version of the rendered web page. The attribute is added to the complex resource structure, and the uniform resource locator from the attribute is indexed in a search engine index.

Abstract: A system and method for providing randomly-generated test cases for a set of interfaces of a piece of software are disclosed. A test case generator is initialized with parameter arrays Sp with cardinality mp and a prime number qp. For each independent parameter p of each of the set of interfaces, a test case number t is generated. A test case is then generated based on the values for each independent parameter p and based on t and Sp, mp, and qp.

Abstract: The invention relates to identification documents, and in particular to pre-printing processing covert images, such as UV or IR images, provided on such identification documents. In one implementation, the invention includes a method of processing a digital image that is to be printed on a surface of an identification document as a fluorescing-capable image to improve the quality of the image. Edges or boundaries are detected within the image, the detected edges or boundaries forming an intermediate image. The edges or boundaries within the image are emphasized, and the emphasized image is used for printing the covert image. In some implementations of the invention, a digital watermark is embedded in the covert image.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the invention provides a method for forming a full color laser engraved image on an ID card. As described below, a special image capable layer is prepared that is addressable by one or more near infrared (NIR) lasers. Each type of particle contained within the image capable layer is associated with a particular color (e.g., cyan, magenta, or yellow) and is responsive (i.e., can selectively absorb) a particular wavelength of laser energy to form a laser engraved pixel in that respective color. In one embodiment, the particles are selected such that the wavelengths that they respond to do not overlap significantly. By providing discrete physical particles and preventing a given particle from responding to more than one laser wavelength, it can be possible to minimize so-called “cross talk” between the cyan, magenta, and yellow centers and minimize contamination and/or chemical mixing of image formers. This helps to ensure image accuracy and quality.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing integration of a heterogeneous application landscape are disclosed. The landscape is defined by one or more business process. A business process management system includes an integration server connected between two or more applications in the landscape. The integration server includes a business process engine configured to execute one or more business processes that define message-based interactions between the two or more applications. The business process management system further includes a runtime engine, under direction of the business process engine, for executing one or more messaging services on the message-based interactions between the two or more applications.

Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein provides methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for determining keys for use with data structures, such as objects, business objects, view business objects, and the like. In one aspect, there is provided a computer-implemented method. The method may include determining a first key of a view business object node by combining one or more keys of the business object nodes used to form the view business object node, the first key used to identify the view business object node when the view business object node is a root node. The method may also include determining, when the view business object node has a parent node, a second key of the view business object node by combining the first key and at least one key of the parent node, the second key used to identify the view business object node.

Abstract: A cleaning device for a medical implement is disclosed. The cleaning device includes a cap having an opening to an inner cavity, the opening being adapted to receive a site of the medical implement. The cleaning device further includes a compressible cleaning material that contains a cleaning agent prior to receipt of the site of the medical implement, i.e. the cleaning material is pre-loaded with the cleaning agent. The compressible cleaning material is at least partially secured in the inner cavity and adapted to swab and clean the site with the cleaning agent.

Abstract: A wrapper can receive a request for application data. The wrapper wraps a first reference to a cross-session object and a second reference to a wrapper mapper object. Thereafter, the cross-session object can be accessed using the first reference and the wrapper mapper object is polled using the second reference to access a session-local object. The wrapper mapper object includes a wrapper list references the wrapper and any wrappers contained therein to facilitate recovery after session failover. Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods and systems for training a neural network having weighted connections for classification of data, as well as embodiments corresponding to the use of such a neural network for the classification of data, including, for example, prediction of an event (e.g., disease). The method may include inputting input training data into the neural network, processing, by the neural network, the input training data to produce an output, determining an error between the output and a desired output corresponding to the input training data, rating the performance neural network using an objective function, wherein the objective function comprises a function C substantially in accordance with an approximation of the concordance index and adapting the weighted connections of the neural network based upon results of the objective function.
