Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided an admixture of sorbic acid, malic acid, fumaric acid, crotonic acid, and optionally aconitic acid. Further contemplated by the present invention are methods for treating various pathological conditions such as viral infections, acidosis, tumors, and bacterial and fungal infections by administering various therapeutically effective amounts of an admixture described above.
