Patent number: 6736717Abstract: Method for obtaining an inner fillet and device for mechanically detaching the undesired tendon part from an inner fillet. The poultry carcass is mounted on a fixing member and positioned so that the tendons are exposed. A processing device, comprising rotating cutters, either partially or completely detaches the tendon from the inner fillets. The cutters make a uniform incision at the moment when the inner fillet and the associated tendon are still essentially in their natural position. The fillets may then be removed manually or mechanically from the carcass.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2000Date of Patent: May 18, 2004Assignee: Stork PMT B.V.Inventors: Hein Annema, Petrus Chr. H. Janssen, Adrianus J. van den Nieuwelaar

Patent number: 6383069Abstract: Apparatus and methods for performing multiple automated poultry processing operations upon a slaughtered animal or a part thereof via a single machine is described. The machine contains at least two rotary processors in a single frame. A covering surrounds the processors. A venting processor cuts out and removes the vent to a slaughtered animal and in the process removes unwanted fecal or other material from the exterior and the interior of the carcass. The processors integrated into the single machine are coupled by a conveyor line following a preferably generally S-shaped route that carries the carcasses amongst the processors, preferably positioning the carcasses at the optimum registration point for the operation performed by the particular processor.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2000Date of Patent: May 7, 2002Assignee: Stork Gamco Inc.Inventors: Max Volk, Raymond Strawn, Adrianus J. Patent number: 6306026Abstract: The invention disclosed in this document relates to an apparatus and method for parallel processing of a plurality of cattle carcasses suspended from a conveyor. At least two processing stations are provided that displace, or move, in a direction parallel to the conveyor. Each of the two stations performs generally the same processing operation on a carcass and each station has an individual coupling means for releasably engaging on the conveyor, wherein the processing stations are displaceable along a common guide. The processing stations are preferably connected flexibly to each other such that the interval between the processing stations in a position coupled to the conveyor is greater than in a position disconnected from the conveyor.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2000Date of Patent: October 23, 2001Assignee: Stork MPS B.V.Inventor: Gerard Jan Post

Patent number: 6074370Abstract: A syringe apparatus and process for using the same is provided, the syringe apparatus having a barrel, a plunger movable within the barrel, a needle assembly attached to an end of the barrel and having a passageway therethrough, a deformable base positioned within the barrel, flexible supports included on the deformable base, a spring within the passageway of the needle assembly, a hollow needle passing through the passageway, an enlarged head on the needle, and a rupturable web on an end of the plunger, whereby when the plunger moves through the barrel toward the needle assembly, a fluid can be moved from the barrel through the hollow of the needle, and continued movement of the plunger flexes the supports and moves the deformable base downwardly until such time a sufficient force is imparted to the rupturable web by the enlarged head to tear the web, the deformable base then releasing the needle due to force applied by the spring to project the needle into the interior of the plunger.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 1998Date of Patent: June 13, 2000Assignee: Syringe Development Partners L.L.C.Inventors: William B. Patent number: 6014557Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for providing wireless telecommunications service providers roamer visibility for on-line customer support and a fraud data feed for reducing losses due to fraud, obviating the need for each provider to purchase data from a central clearinghouse. Monitoring devices are coupled to existing network links (e.g., SS7 telecommunications links) or network elements (e.g., an STP pair), and are adapted to capture certain data regarding user traffic. The captured data is in turn provided via a wide area network or other transmission means to a message processor. The message processor collates raw messages received from the data capture devices and produces roamer visibility and fraud data. This subscriber-related data can be used to populate one or more databases available for query by on-line client workstations, or may, in the case of fraud-related data, be provided as a wire feed or other transmission to a fraud detection system or other wireless service providers.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 1996Date of Patent: January 11, 2000Assignee: BellSouth Intellectual Property CorporationInventors: John W. Patent number: 6011838Abstract: A process and system is disclosed for determining automatically and dynamically the correct time segment during which a switch or components of a switch receive peak traffic from a communications network. The process collects traffic data regarding the usage of a selected switch or selected switch components. The traffic data is collected over a selected journalling period (e.g., 30 days), which is periodically updated with new traffic data to maintain a journal of the most recent 30 days of collected traffic data. Collected traffic data is filtered to remove aberrant or corrupting data. An average peak usage segment for all of the segments of the journalling period is selected from the remaining filtered traffic data. By regularly adding new data to and removing old data from the journal, the resulting moving window will reflect recent changes in peak usage. Patent number: 5912184Abstract: An enclosure provided with an air supply system, an exhaust system, and controls for manipulating the flow, temperature, dewpoint and relative humidity of the air within the enclosure are disclosed. The present invention aims to achieve with these components a system for containing chemical contaminants created during processing of silicon wafers during the chemical/mechanical, polishing/planarization processes involved in creating those wafers. The system prevents drying of the slurry used to process wafers by controlling the relative humidity within the enclosure via a humidifier, sensors and a controller that dynamically reacts to changes within the enclosure atmosphere. Preventing slurry drying is critical to maintaining high wafer throughput by reducing gouging and scraping of wafers and also by reducing equipment down time needed to clean dried slurry.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 1997Date of Patent: June 15, 1999Assignee: Intelligent Enclosures CorporationInventor: Christopher O'Sullivan Young
